Poisonfangs85
I have a Milwaukee in my pouch at the moment. Probly switching back to a fatmax or stabila. I have tapes in every corner of my truck and garage but never seem to find one when I need it most.
overanalyze
Stanley FatMax 25' is in my tool belt always. For finish trim and cabinetry the 16' FatMax comes out. At the shop we have a few different brands scattered around for general use.

rfwjr
I grab either my Milwaukee 16 ft or 25 ft. I do own several other brands but I normally go for the Milwaukee.

Stercorarius
The Bosch glms are nice, less so if you have shakey hands.

It really doesn't matter though if you have something solid to butt up against.
T75R
Funny you started this thread. Was just looking into picking up a new tape measure and was debating between the fatmax and the DeWalt. Any suggestions?

I can't speak for DeWalt, but they do have a pretty good reputation.
kruton
I generally just reach in and grab one. Here lately I have been using the Fastcap and the Bosch laser measurer.Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk

Stercorarius
I switched all Fatmax over to Lufkin Powercontrol Series. Does nobody like Lufkin anymore? Magnetic, self-centering tips, and the non pinch grip really makes the different.Lufkin. Who makes those? Apex tool group maybe? If you can sell me on them I'll go buy a couple as I've never worked with one before. Never even seen one actually.

DiverDn
I like Stanley. Fatmax for long measures, Stanley levellock for everything else. I've got a couple of Milwaukees and I'm trying to like them, but they just won't stay securely locked. I like everything else about them, but the break loose too easily. I have a Stanely Leverlock that is close to I bet 25 years old and it's great, but starting to show it's age.
