If you read the article its pretty clear this guy is a loser of society,this wasnt his first offense by any means. Gun laws only make things worse off for legit people,criminals dont care about laws,they will do it anyway. World would ust be better off if they took themselves out instead of people not even involved with your problems.   Thats why legit people should be able to pack heat,an armed society is a safe society,bring back the wild west and let the turds take themselves out.

 

The problem is most of the public types dont wanna educate themselves in that way,probably where the term sheeple comes from.  Be a wolf not a sheeple.

It is horrible to think people can think so little of other human beings during their own trying times. Guns really dont have anything to do with it. If someone can point a loaded gun at someone else and pull the trigger the gun is not the problem. There are enough guns made in the world if someone wanted one to kill others with it wouldnt be hard. Gun laws arent going to change anything. But that is just me and one man's opinion.

I agree Comp, a gun is just an object just like a knife, hammer wrench etc. There are enough gun laws, they just are not being enforced.

Part of the problem is that an armed society is NOT a polite society. There are just as many stressed out, mentally unstable people running around. I personally do not want to live where everyone is armed. Texas just passed a law making it legal for college students to carry guns in class. Do you know how many hormone raging ass clowns there are in a UT college class? Now picture one of them deciding to be a hero when they think that they need to save the day. How many innocents are going to get caught in the cross fire? What about having a heated debate about [insert any topic here] when a college kid decides he's had enough and decides to settle the argument once and for all, because he can't stand to have his beliefs criticized.

Remember, the Wild West was an armed society. Libya, Beiruit, Bosnia, Iraq... Take your pick of armed societies. I challenge you to find one that would be considered polite.

The media certainly isn't helping the issue, basically making these people famous. Which is the last thing you want to offer to people that feel like they're invisible nobodies.

 

Also, lots of catch and release on gun traffickers, which are one of the biggest problems in states like Illinois. Don't pay your taxes, long prison sentence...traffic illegal firearms to criminals, a few weeks of jail time and a plea bargain release for information.
