jdlx277
I have had my Health insurance through my wifes employer for many years. But they did away with spouse insurance affective Feb 1 2016.I was on her group insurance. Was reasonable priced. Now being self employed I had to get my own and I am paying almost $700.00 per month! That has killed my tool buying fun.Anyone else in this boat? khariV
Did you go through healthcare.gov? I was in a similar boat not so long ago and managed to find decent coverage a lot cheaper than it would have been if I had just gone to BCBS directly. MrMontana
I wonder what kind of insurance you have a moment during the pandemic.
Lansysta
Man, that's rough! It sucks when insurance changes hit you hard in the wallet. $700 a month is no joke, especially when it cuts into your tool fund. I feel you on that. And hey, speaking of financial planning, I've been mulling over life insurance lately. It's one of those things you hope you never need, but it's a smart move to protect your fam, you know? If you're curious, I found this link with some helpful info on life insurance. Might be worth looking into given the changes with your health insurance situation.
