Cheng Liu
I was carrying a bunch of tools in a soft sided bag recently and I foolishly left the circular saw blades on the inside edge of the bag and the pressure from the tools inside caused the teeth to stick out. The cut on my leg is testament to the mistake that was. I am wondering how one can store circular saw blades safely. My reciprocating saw blades came with a nice case, but circular saw blade cases do not appear to be widely available.

My reciprocating saw blades came with a nice case, but circular saw blade cases do not appear to be widely available. For all my blades I buy storage cases to keep them in. Just recently I picked up one wide enough for my 7 1/4" blades I just need to cut the dividers out. I'll post some picks when I get around to it. jeffmcmillan
Youre not alone. Everyone has to make that mistake every so often to remember why blades have cases. I use some folded cardboard with shock cord going through the center of the blades and a hole in the cardboard then around the outside to hold everything tight.

JimboS1ice
Can always put shrink wrap around the blade edge as well... Doesn't look pretty but works Jimbo Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Fazzman
Here's another folks seem to like: Blade Runner Storage Case https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003B3RDIK/ref=cm_sw_r_other_awd_wwm3wbQE2MNGH

Fazzman
Yeah I agree, too bad they want so much just to ship it cardboard or pipe wrap around the diameter of blade would be cheapest method. Boxes that bandsaw blades come in could work with a little modification.

The site says nothing about that. If that was so, would there be a need for a 10" and 12" model?
comp56
true but you only need to buy 10" if you don't need 12" and it would be cheaper for them to make and sell both....
george frontino
I like those a lot Comp, I think those would be perfect for people who own big saws. But come on, they can't come out with a 7 and 1/4 blade model? Most people don't own 10 inch circ saws. The 10 inch could be for table or miter saws too A happy life is one that involves tools as often as possible www.frontinoconstruction.com
george frontino
I rigged something up on the inside of my tool chest. Its a small bolt with a washer and a nut securing it to the box from outside. On the inside, the blades go on the bolt and one of the cheap packages that the blades come in goes on after the blades. Then a washer and nut to keep everything in place. This took about 1 minute to do and it works for me. Ill post a picture hopefully tomorrow. arkfit
I've been keeping my blades in the plastic sleeve case they came in or something similar if they came in an odd type package, then drop them into my toolbox like files.
