JimboS1ice
Why not right? We are plenty of beef jerky eating fellows so why not review some dried meat we endulge in and start some chatty, lots of brands out there and more and more coming. So I'll start off with Duke's Original Recipe Smoked SHORTY Sausages These aren't bad, soft and tender but fairly dry. Flavor is similar to a summer sausage with the right amount of salt. Definitely worth a snack, I wouldn't eat them regularly but from time to time these are pretty tasty. Mondo1310
Haven't seen those around here. You probably got them at menards. It's hard to beat the jerky I received from wigwag.

KnarlyCarl
Good call Jimbo leave it up to you youngsters to think up these good ideas LOL!! . . So in the above picture, out of all of those, I like the teriyaki the best, ive always liked teriyaki jerky but Tommys takes it to another level of awesomeness. It was the best teriyaki jerky I've had. Ever. The "mild" hickory was not mild for me, it was a pretty strong flavor, but I still really liked it, would get it again in a heartbeat. The house blend was excellent, it seemed the most dry, but had a nice, mild, pretty much a standard beef flavor, good for someone who is not sure what to get. The sweet and sassy was a little on the spicy side, but again that's my taste buds, I'm more sensitive to flavors, and like mild over strong (coffee being the exception) The flavor did grow on me though, but it's not for me. It's pretty much self explanatory, sweetness and spicy in one. It has been awhile so I'm losing memory on how I would really describe the spice, definitely peppery, maybe a hint of barbecue as well. KnarlyCarl
Something red? I don't know protool, do you need any led lightbulbs in your house? A welcome mat for your front door? Bath towels? KnarlyCarl
Lol yah I guess I didn't catch that part! I love those blue diamond almonds! Another thing I'm a sucker for is cornnuts and flavor twists! Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
JimboS1ice
First off I have to say the flavor is great, very peppery but you get a little sweetness to it, maybe a small hint of beer but if I didn't read the name I wouldn't even know it was there. Texture is horrible, it's too dry and tough, as attractive as the package is I would avoid this one. That flavor is great but that's where it ends. JimboS1ice
I guess its been dehydrated so long that its lost its tenderness. It was also cut improperly...

kruton
OMG, Tommy's Beef Jerky, oh how I love your tasty jerky! [emoji14] So here is the verdict... Teryake: It has a slight sweet flavor to it, and has a bit of a tang too, and its tender and good. Hickory: It deffinetly has a hickory flavor to the meat which reaminds me of the days when my father smoked salmon in the smoker box back in the day. Its also tender, easy on the teeth, and I like it too. Dude I love the Blue Diamond almonds! My family has an almond orchard in California so I always have plenty of almonds around the house! Have you ever tried Blue Diamonds Habenero BBQ almonds? Those are my favorites. Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
JimboS1ice
This is some good stuff here, pretty tender, good amount of moisture to it, it's not wet but not over dried. Flavor for this variety is great, starts off a sweetness with a hint of orange and goes into a firery finish. If you don't like spicy I would seek out some other flavored but this is some really good stuff! JimboS1ice
I've had the original but these are definitely better. Same drier texture but it's a good texture to it, pretty tender. This stuff has some heat though you won't be disappointed, almost taste a little horseradish as well. [emoji106] Jimbo Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I just tried the regular flavor of the Duke smokies. They weren't bad but just seemed to need a little more flavor profile for my taste. I did like the smoke flavor. If these are better I'm going to have to try the hot and spicy now! JimboS1ice
Higher quality jerky from Jack links, thicker but more tender. Good average moisture. Flavor isn't the greatest, over salty even though it's teriyaki. Makes the mouth water a little, for the price there's better out there. WigWagWorkshop
Y'all know know I am not a negative person right? But I have to disagree on any Jack suggestions. I am a cat that will keep my personal opinions to himself. If you like how it tastes thats cool with me, cause in the end that is all that matters. Besides, Jerky is a personal preference, some like moist and chewy, but some folks including me, like it dry and pack it in like chewing tobacco LOL. -Steven
