I think this would work well with big drills in the 8-AMP or higher range. Although I wouldn't use this with a 5-AMP drill, don't think the motor would keep up with the load being applied, I mean it might do it, but take all day. That is a neat tool accessory, I like it!

Maybe not though; it looks like you're forced to use the tool two-handed, one on the drill and one on the saw handle, so you have no free digits to get in the way. Kinda a pita though, every cut needed to be clamped down to use this...

 

You figure back in the day drills were the first power tool that everyone had access to so compared to hand sawing everything I can see the attraction to something like this...
