They have to protect their distributors in countries with higher import taxes or else everyone would order from cheaper countries. It will probably happen across the board at some point, I saw it happen in hockey equipment. First it was Bauer, now EVERY SINGLE COMPANY has a one strike policy. If they find out that any retail store shipped product overseas or to Canada, instantly they loose the account. In some cases they do make exceptions but it's for stuff that is ONLY available at that retailer, probably not something that will cross over to tools.
