  1. Hi all.

Does any of you own a set of easy outs or left hand drill bits? I'm currently looking for a set of those, not because I really need right now but just to have in case of emergency, you never know when you will break a bolt and I hate running to the shop hunting for this kind of stuff when I'm really busy.

I have read some reviews about a set of easy outs form laser tools which some guys say that they snap while trying to unscrew a bolt

If any of you uses one of these sets, what make do you guys use? Where did you buy them?

  2. I'm hunting for a decent but not too expensive drill driver or a combi driver. As it is to be used occasionally, I saw today in B&Q a Mac Alister with a lithium battery for a decent price but with only one battery. I have a preference for two batteries and talking about 2 batteries, Ryobi comes with a good price with 2 lithium batteries for around £100. Dewalt and makita for around £100 just bring nicad batteries. I probably need to wait for one of those events - 20% off in B&Q to buy a good cordless drill for a good price.

What do you guys think about Ryobi? Does any of you use it?

  3. Looks very good.

Just make sure your power drill is up to the job, and that it has a clutch in case the drill snags up with dust because believe me that can hurt.

    Thanks for your reply.

The hole is to be drilled in a cavity wall and I've got the decent sds drill. Anything else you can recommend that doesn't cost a lot for a person like me to drill a hole with a diamond core once in a blue moon?

  4. Hi guys.

I need to drill a 100mm diameter hole in my kitchen for the extractor fan ducting. After googling a bit I found a reasonable price on one website. I don't need anything too professional because I'm a DIY person and I'm not doing this sort of holes everyday. Instead of hiring it for £50 I can buy one and keep it to use in any other property that I can move to.

I always like to buy professional tools to do my bits and pieces but in this situation I don't think I need something too expensive.

Please check the link below and tell me what you guys think:
