Its not surprising that your craftsman has been through h*ll and back, and is still working
In my oppinion, ANYTHING made by craftsman is awesome quality, from their basic wrench, to their power drills!

Lithium batteries are pretty straight forward. Yes some of the older batteries had problems, but as techology has gotten better, we see less defects. I will store them in a c ool dry place and not leave them in the heat or cold for long periods of time. You know when you can not recharge them when they don't work in the tool anymore.
I was actually told by someone that when a lithium battery has pretty much reached the end of its life span (the point when it can no longer hold a charge for very long, if at all), that you can actually put the battery in the freezer, and it will bring back some of its power retention.
Is there any truth at all to this?

I just checked ebay and searched for "panasonic drill" and it pulled up 45 items.
I would definitely check that out, especially if you want a good deal. Just make sure that the seller has a good feedback rating %.
