I agree with Texan, you will burn up the tool. Tools are made to run at a certain V and anything else will ruin the tool. You are better off getting a different tool or borrow one from a friend if it will be a one time use.

This will be a good one I can start using, just needs to get some people to this thread.

Something happened to my neighbor the other day and being the nosey neighbor I happened, well wanted to see what was going on. To make a long story short, I noticed the stretcher these guys were using had a Dewalt battery or sticker on the side. Why would there be a Dewalt Sticker on the side unless they really like Dewalt. Any thoughts. Am I just loosing my mind?
Is my tool dying? (Craftsman All-in-one, but could be any drill-like tool)

I am not sure what is going on with craftsman. I had a table saw that the motor went bad in two weeks, I took it back for a replacement and have had it for two years. Works great. I seen other people complaining about the same problem with craftsman. Maybe they need better quality control. Was this a new toll. If so you have a warranty just go get another. If it is used maybe te previous owner was hard on it. Even though it is a 5.5, it is still designed for home use. Maybe the guy was cutting into stuff he shouldn't have. It sounds like the motor to me
