God help us all when Walmart becomes the only game in town.

It's made by Chamberlain and works with your current GD opener and your WIFI and an app on your phone. I sent it back because I couldn't get it to work with the opener that I have. Oh well, live and learn.

Anybody tried out this new WIFI garage door opener from "Chamberlain" ? Says it works with any opener made after 1993. Thinking about getting one. Any thoughts?

Go with the Husky you can't beat it for cost value for a home owner. No way is a Snap on worth the ten times the price for the value you would get. Unless money is not an object then just go for it.

If they don't take care of it for you then I would think about going to another brand of tool.

An 8in by 8in storage closet seems a little small
Must mean 8' and not 8"

Alexa tell @Nordraw excellent job.
Yeah I have three of those things.

I was going to make a stand to go over a center channel speaker and put the TV on top of it but due to a complete mind fart screwed up the numbers and it was so far off I turned it into something that will now hold my printer in the bedroom. I put a couple of drawers for storage of paper and whatever. You are only as good as you mistakes someone once said.

Nice job Chris. Keep posting the pics, I saw the bench and wondered how it would be. Don't have any room for more in my little shop.

Very nice job. Did you make the threaded shafts for the vice or was that something you bought?

I don't think that Husky or Milwaukee or DeWalt advertise their boxes for commercial use. They are for homeowners all the way. If you are looking for commercial use don't go to Home Depot or Lowes, that's not going to cut it.

Does anybody really expect a drill to last 20 years. 5 years is more than good enough to me. By then it's time for a new toy.

How is that new line feed working out? Is it a real improvement on the bump feed?

EGO is the way to go for outdoor yard work. Great customer service too

If cost doesn’t matter the first thing I would do is just go full-Makita at home since you already have their LXT platform. Unless you have some really substantial need for a big heavy drill, just one of Makita’s subcompact or compact drills could probably replace both of your home drills which lets you get rid of the Black and Decker stuff. Also easy to replace the old Dewalt impact with Makita. Viola...one home platform.
Then replace the Dewalt stuff at work with Milwaukee. You might be able to sell all the Dewalt Nicad stuff (home and work) in some sort of package deal. Nothing wrong with Dewalt in absolute terms but your Dewalt stuff is all older gen on an older format. I like the fact that they offer an adapter so you can power legacy tools with newer lithium batteries but to do that necessitates buying into yet another platform which seems counterproductive.
As far as Ryobi is concerned, I like them just fine. Growing up they were my backup option any time Dewalt’s premium prices didn’t feel sensible, and I’ve never had a Ryobi let me down. The price makes them crazy accessible to cover those pesky “in-between” tasks. Plus especially now they have so many atypical products that are so useful. I kinda wouldn’t mind if they moved just a hair upscale, and maybe their recent move to brushless products and larger batteries signals they may be doing just that.
What kind of speaker is that in your post? Looks pretty good

Share your memories of things that we once took for granted. Despite the large amount of disparity in ages here in the TIA forums, please feel free to share what you remember, regardless of how young or old it may make you sound. I'll start with a few easy ones:
Remember when Craftsman hand tools were proudly "Made in the USA" and represented a level of quality that made them ubiquitous in garages and shops across the United States?
Remember when incandescent bulbs were our primary means of lighting, and we were just fine with using them?
Remember when we had two buying options: in person at the retailer or mail order?
Remember when a payphone call cost a quarter, as immortalized by Travis Tritt, only to have the price raised months after the song?
Remember when we had to find a quarter for the payphone after we received an urgent text on our pager?
Remember when a car could get 35+ mpg without hybrid technology or complex monitoring systems?
Remember when computers had mere kilobytes of RAM yet cost thousands of dollars?
Things change, often for the better, but there are times I long for those days when everything seemed simpler and less hectic. I realize that this feeling comes with age, and that older folks might consider my own fond memories as examples of complicated times while younger ones may think I'm archaic, but there is something relaxing about remembering what was once the norm. We'll never get it back but we can reflect and relive those times when everyone was immortal and things would never change.
Can't remember many cars getting 35 mpg back in the day. Not in my day anyway.

Full synthetic is the way to go for me. Nice to only change oil a couple of times a year instead of 4 times.

EGO just keeps getting better it seems.

What would we do without Walmart huh?
