Hi all. Well had a load of tools stolen from my van just before xmas (£1500 worth), one of the boxes had most of my 18v 4.0ah batteries in it. So i'm trying to recuperate here and just wondering if anyone knows of any good deals out there on batteries, i.e reputable websites so at least i have somewhere to go back to if faulty.

Hi all,
i have a type 3 dw717xps mitre saw. the other day piece of wood shot up and, as much as i can make out, hit the dust port.
a solid black plastic piece then got caught up in the saw and was completely demolished. thing is, i can't make out where it came from, i can't see any broken off pieces. the only thing i can think it may be is a part that sits it the dust port (see photo) and would basically snap into place. Does anyone with the same model have this piece in theirs? On a type 3 parts list the dust port is no. 255 but i can't see it by the diagrams.
Any ideas what part fixes just inside the dust port??

Just wondering if i should sell my DCD980M2 for the new brushless DCD795M2?
Specs seem better on the 980, but I'm being pulled in by the brushless option!

UPDATE!! Have just spoken to a dewalt retailer / service centre i use and they said NO!
but apparently it is in the pipeline, as for when he couldnt say.

Hi Gang,
Does anyone know if it is possible to buy (in the uk) the foam inserts for dewalt tools?
If not ant good alternatives for diy purposes, i.e black polystyrene or foam rubber?

Hi guys and gals, not sure if anyone has asked this before, I used to have a DeWalt dw717xps mitre saw that got stolen, on the top it said it was a type 2, I have replaced the saw with the same model and now on the top it says it is a type 4. is there any changes between these two saws as I cannot see any. Does the 'type' just refer to a manufacturing detail?
