[Nail Gun!!]

I have a DC618 Nail Gun that wont fire nails in all the way. Its only a 2nd fix gun so only 38mm nails but 2/3 of the time it wont shoot a nail all the way in, any one else had this problem?

Hi I have a dc618 nail gun that is no longer sending the nails all be way in. It will do a 38mm nail into very soft wood most of the time but won't send and longer nails all the way in. Yes I have it set on max power number 6. If I try a 38mm nail into normal wood like the handle of a hand brush it will only go in about 1/3rd of the way! Battery is fully charged. I have checked the firing pin and the return elastics and they seem fine. I don't want to just take it to a service centre and pay them, I'm an engineer and am used to stripping things down to repaid but thought it worth asking someone who knows for advice first. Is this a common thing? What do I need to check/do?

Hi what do you mean by steel profile? Are you talking about the firing pin? Or the flywheel grooves? Can you be mode specific with part numbes and part names?
