I'd love a pair of red wings as well I just can't justify the price tag. I was thinking of getting Timberlands for my next pair

What is your brand of work boots/safety toe boots? Pros? Cons? I personally use Caterpillar 2nd shift steel toe boots. Work perfect for what I do they take a thrashing every day how ever I've had them for 3 months and the Comfort aspect of them has gone away. Nothing Dr scholls can't fix! They're very affordable too

I have had the DeWalt, Ridgid, and the Bosch and the are all good RO sanders, the weak spot is the dust collection. I have sold them all and have gone with Festool. When working in someones home the last thing you want to hear is someone bitching about the dust going through their house. Festool's dust collection is the best out there, It leaves very little or no dust behind. With that said it comes with a price.
Dust collection isn't so much an issue cause we have a rigid shop vac that you can hook up so the Sanders only issue is that's another hose in your way! ;P

'm looking to pick up a orbital sander as I do some side countertop work for my uncle's company. Was wonder if you guys had any first hand experience with ridgid or dewalt Sanders?

Seems like Milwaukee has been aggressively trying to get into electrician tools. Wonder what Klein will come back with
-
By legacy I meant they're compatable with all tools they manufacture
-
If i'm not mistake RIDGID tools are legacy right?

Awesome tool set! I totally hear you about battery tools. I fight the same dilemma every time I purchase a battery operated tool.
Lol Exactly! I just bought an impact so I'm sure I'll be looking for projects to use it on so I don't completely waste the batter haha

I'm also a big safety nut. Do the weras do the job on live wires? Can I trust my safety with them? Sorry I'm just hyper paranoid with new things like these haha

The price comparison just seems way in the favor for Wera compared to klien. Now don't get me wrong I love Klein and USA made tools and supporting the country's economy but with the price comparison it seems as if your paying for the name rather than the screw drivers actual function. Then again I could be wrong in terms of the two companies quality in terms of insulated screwdrivers. I've read they're both great but wera is more affordable. I've used Klein's and Milwaukee's but not wear. How do they hold up in comparison to Klein Insulated?

Ironically there wasn't much price comparison I bought it on amazon but it was sold by CPO outlets haha I'm actually pretty anxious to get my hands on it from what I understand it's a brand new battery so at least if the tool kills over its only 50$ for the tool itself so it's not to bad of a loss of it goes south

Hey all so I recently bought a rigid X4 impact on amazon and it's refurbished so it's discounted. TotAl cost was about 120$. NOW I know it doesn't come with a lifetime warranty but the battery itself is 80 bucks on amazon so I figured it was a smart buy any thoughts or experiences with buying refurbs?
-
Well if nobody has claimed them yet I could use one

Glad I'm not married

I actually have this socket set
Not bad for a stanley honestly. If you dont work on cars daily its a decent set to get for the money, I've had my set for 3 years and have used it for several car projects. I have the 201 pc set though
My uncle also owns this set
Good ol channellock! Its been great to him, he's done a lot of engine work with them and pretty much rebuilt 2-3 engines with it

The tool box is out now, I saw it yesterday when I went to home depot

Looks good I bet that brick ran you a pretty penny!

@DR99 I actually just picked them up today, I havent had a chance to use them but its a nice little set for 40 bucks. @Sparky603 A lot of this is stuff i've upgraded over last 2 years, after my grandfather passed away I got a lot of his tools but, I'd rather keep them rather than batter them with how I treat tools. I'd like my (future) children to have them someday.

Welcome sir! Hope to hear how you guys do things in Ireland!

Now I don't compare to most people on here but I'm young and this is my start. I've focused a lot in electrician tools because Im currently pursueing an apprenticeship, and probably going into the program in the local college. My power tools are corded because I dont use them everyday and would hate to spend money on a battery I use maybe 2-5 times a month. I'm thinking about getting a wera insulated screwdriver set but im not sure yet. But these are a lot of the tools I do more the on and off maintenance work I get. Any suggestions on electrician tools let me know!

What insurance company do you have that insures tools?
-
How do you like that Milwaukee screw driver set? I just picked it up myself haven't tested out the built in wire stripper yet. How well does it work?

Hey everyone I'm TJ. 22 years young and love to do just about everything. Come from a family of steel workers/maintenance/carpenters and currently work in irrigation(until I can get a electrician apprenticeship). Look forward to obsessing on tools with everyone! Cheers!
