  1. I bought there 12in double bevel sliding compound miter saw last week to take to a job site in the ghetto <disclaimer: not meant to be a racial slur since peeps are way to sensitive >.  Only reason I did, I didn't want my Dewalt to get stolen like my table saw did.  I have to say, 134 bucks that damn thing ran true and didn't skip a beat.   But then again, I only have 15 hours on it.

  2. I have just purchased a DCS355D1oscillating tool, and several starter blades. The tool seems beautifully designed! But the blades are a bit expensive (for me).

I see that there are several sources of inexpensive blades available online that claim compatibility with this Dewalt tool. While I'm sure these blades will be of lesser quality, I wonder if anyone has tried some of these cheaper options? If so: What brand/model blades did you find compatible, and which seemed of at least reasonable quality?

    Thank you.

    Hiya Equuleus,

Congrats on getting the DCS355D oscillating Multi Tool.   If you want to stick with the Dewalt Quick change you can run Rockwell blades or Dewalt Blades. Rockwell blades are cheaper and I would say from my past experience are in the same quality as the dewalt blades. Since price is an issue for you, order your blades  online from Zoro.com.  search <   DWA4203, DWA4206, and DWA4208 > or Dewalt Oscillating Blades.  If you want to run Rockwell blades, it is about the same price to shop at Lowe's or Home Depot then the internet .   Always cheaper to buy the 3 packs then individual blades also.

  3. I realize this is a crude drawing but ya get the picture.....if the span of cut is short why not put a board over the track guide side ways and put a screw or two in it to keep it there and don't use a clamp at all.......

Can you add a stick figure next to that drawing.......haha      nice

  4. I don't know about the best tool I own for the year is, but I do know right at this moment my DCF680 <Gyro Screwdriver> is getting a work out on  148 outlet/switch covers, 115 outlets and 33 switches!!!

Not to mention the new hinges I have to install on the cabinets      .....   weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee........SCREW SCREW SCREW

  5. Here is the link to the PDF file that lists all the winners.  Looks like a lucky guy (or girl?) named Devon Michael won the truck!  They actually gave away quite a few "instant win" prizes, too, I am thoroughly impressed.

(if you don't trust the link--who could blame you--you can get it from the rules page directly from Bosch)

I think they forgot to put me on the list for the truck again    :P

I just got my DW7480 stolen off the back of my truck and need to order a new one but wondered if this model  ever goes on sale.   Also, yes...I want this model for I can run my dado blades on it and not have to carry my other table saw for those jobs that warrant it

Kevin <-----the dumbass that didn't lock his saw down while working in the hood :(  <disclaimer: Do not mean that in a racial way since people are so uptight lately>
