  1. I have a few in stock. When the light is on, you don't want to look at it. It will cause temporary blindness. If you glance at it, even from far away, you will see spots for a good few minutes. It is really bright. I'm not sure what knobs you are talking about but the knobs on the sides tighten the floodlight so that it won't rotate.

  2. Yes, we have a lot more tools listed on the eBay site than we do on our store website. If you want pricing on any Makita tool, then you can always email me: jess@bishoptools.com

  3. That's cool Ricky that u found a cool tool spot in your area! Out here Ace is the only place near by and its pretty pricey compared to HD or Lowes. Wish I could find a spot like that.

My store has been around for 14 years now and we still have professionals that are just now discovering us. We stock DeWalt, Hitachi, Senco, Bosch, Makita, Husqvarna and many others. I almost feel bad for those out there that live in the Florida panhandle that still haven't found us. We are very knowledgeable and love teaching and helping others. It does make me smile when they do discover us for the first time and wander around the store realizing what they got here.

  4. Thanks. Yea this thing is dumb fast! And the different speed modes comes in handy. Of course I had to Google the words on the buttons but I'm trying to learn Japanese anyway so win-win![emoji23] Haha lol

The identical tool model in the USA is the XDT09Z. It has been available since around mid March I believe. You won't find it at the big box stores like Home Depot though, you need to go visit a professional tool house. The USA model is only available in the Makita teal color clam shell.

Here are the specifications and features of the XDT09Z.

    High Performance with Brushless Motor
    • Quick-Shift Mode selector has an automatic electronic controller that downshifts and reduces rotation and impact speed prior to driving screw into place, and is engineered to minimize screw thread stripping, screw breakage and damage to work
    • BL Brushless Motor delivers 1,550 in.lbs. of Max Torque
    • Efficient BL Brushless motor is electronically controlled to optimize battery energy use for up to 50% longer run time per charge
    • Extreme Protection Technology (XPT) is engineered to provide improved dust and water resistance for operation in harsh conditions
    • 3-speed power selection switch (0-1,100 / 0-2,100 / 0-3,600 RPM & 0-1,100 / 0-2,600 / 0-3,800 IPM) provides the user with precise fastening control for a wide range of applications
    • The BL Brushless Motor eliminates carbon brushes, enabling the BL Motor to run cooler and more efficiently for longer life
    • The electronically-controlled BL Brushless Motor efficiently uses energy to match torque and RPM to the changing demands of the application
    • 3-stage battery gauge indicates battery charge level
    • Compact and ergonomic design at only 4-11/16" long

  5. If Milwaukee are going to restart their manufacturing in the USA, that is music to my ears. A true American will always build in the USA. ;)

DeWalt's "Made in the USA" campaign is a bit misleading. I went to their factory where they assemble the tools in North/South Carolina (The warehouse is actually in both states, they have a line drawn on the ground where they separate - 4041 Pleasant Rd Fort Mill, SC 29708) and there was literally 1 assembly line with about 6 employees on each side with 1 lead supervisor per side. They took the motor assembly and switches that were made in China and put them in the clam shells and screwed the screws in to close the tool up. They were then test fired with a battery to make sure they work and then attached a "Made In the USA" sticker on the tool.
