Damn I just got the M18 2731 - 7 1/4"  3 months ago and all is good so far. I havn't over heated it yet either. I now have a mind too know.

(Oly runs out to the garage to be sure)

    Thanks for the post.

Just short of 2 years old now and this saw still cuts like champ. Still using the 4 amp batts so I need two for the day but thats cutting Floor joist, 3/4" flooring, 2x6's and so on.

Very pleased I made that purchase over the one other option I had for a full size cordless :D

  2. That is a nice set up, really need that to do my gutters myself.

BTW, I like the brick, the way it's pitched is pretty cool looking.

Ya I thought I would do something different with the brick, Half way through all those little triagle pieces of brick got troublesome to cut :o

Looks good from the road anyway...lol

I have a set of these I bought years ago for a job. They work well and are built like a tank but boy were they pricy.. be careful putting any weight on the corners of the top rungs. Just a little bit of momentum moving outward towards the single leg can cause them to tip.

Ya I could see if you just set em up with little thought of balance, Done that with ladders and find out it's not level and it wants to through ya to the curb. Never had a issue with them myself.

  3. Well I had to take some time and make the Miss's happy and Installed some new seamless gutters, The unique  thing about this job for me was the first time I got to use my 3 legged scaffolding from Bronco.

    Advert from site;

"The Bronco is the ultimate in safety, versatility and strength and is the only truly all-terrain scaffold available on the market. This tough three-legged scaffold is ideal for interior and exterior applications, where uneven and difficult ground conditions are common.

Bronco applications: This all-terrain scaffold is usable in many settings: outdoors, residential, facilities and industrial work."

The very first thing I thought was how nice it is to free up the ladders and to have the middle of the two planks level without a ladder to hop over.

I think I'm gonna like them.

Now! They claim these are good on a roof up to a 8 pitch :o

Think I'm a little leery of that yet :D

Hey maybe these would be a good TIA review?

  4. Very nice indeed!

So many variables to decide what fits your own needs or typical usage, I think warranty is a big issue If you use them every day?

I bought my share of tools in the last 30 years and got stung a few times and it leaves a sour taste for a long time...lol

An another note, Charge time? I thought a while back with the Ni-Cad batts (I don't miss them) it wasn't good for them to charge them to fast and may shorten the life span, If so?

How do the new Lithium batts quick charging compare with longevity? Wonder if it's better to have a extras one and not push it too much?

Maybe a little parinoid at times but I try not to let my batts bake in the hot sun as well in fear of damaging them...lol

    Great review!

    Many thanks

  5. Hello all

Just what I need another forum account...lol

This one looks like fun though, Must have had 100's accounts through the years and I either loose interest or they fall off the edge of the internet world.

I've been lover of tools for a lot of years, If it makes the job eaiser, faster and pay for itself, It's worth it!

This site looks like a gem. Keep up the good work guys
