Why are you adding 2' to the lower level?  Just curious.  Seems like a lot of work for an additional 80 sq. ft.  That was the old way of adding sq. ft. to a house without adding it to the foundation.

Once I had a house that added 8" extra to the second floor.  Didn't make sense to me.

Looks like you are off to a great start.  Foundation and material.  A day or two and nobody will know it wasn't like that from the beginning.

We poured the foundation and framed the wall to gain 22 inches which helped expand inside.

  2. I rigged something up on the inside of my tool chest. Its a small bolt with a washer and a nut securing it to the box from outside. On the inside, the blades go on the bolt and one of the cheap packages that the blades come in goes on after the blades. Then a washer and nut to keep everything in place. This took about 1 minute to do and it works for me. Ill post a picture hopefully tomorrow.

I like those a lot Comp, I think those would be perfect for people who own big saws. But come on, they can't come out with a 7 and 1/4 blade model? Most people don't own 10 inch circ saws.

The 10 inch could be for table or miter saws too

  4. Congrats to whoever wins this awesome kit!! Regardless of whether or not you win, head over to one of Ryobi social media accounts and make sure we thank them for giving away this awesome kit. This is just another reason why being part of the #tiacrew is awesome. Again, congrats to whoever wins and thanks to Ryobi as well as Dan and Eric for collaborating with Ryobi to put this together. :)

  5. This might seem lame to some of you, but my most valuable tool that I have is a retractable pencil "leash" for my carpenters pencil or sharpie. Mine is a Home Depot one, but I know that C.H Hansen hakes their own as well. I constantly lose my marking devices and this eliminates that problem. For only a few bucks, this has come in handy more times than I can count.

  6. Assuming the miniature tootsie rolls weigh about 3 grams, 5 tons would be about 1.5 million tootsie rolls. I think I would be good with that! [emoji6] [emoji16] [emoji90]
