Going along slowly but very well bro! Still have some swelling in the brain and optic nerves but I’m 20/20 and should hopefully be heading back to work next Thursday God willing!

A great recovery is huge when you have a great family behind you and in your corner and clearly you do. Very happy to hear you coming along nicely. That’s amazing to think what you went through. God bless you buddy

  5. Hello guys - been a while for me. After a long winter I’m going to start posting some tools I have that I don’t use. First up is the M18 fuel finish nailer and Brad nailed both never used. I have a 2.0 battery for each and a shared charger. The charger has been use a couple times but the guns are brand new. $400 gets both shipped to your door

This is what I'm using out in the garage. I was out there most of the day. 25 degrees outside and 70 inside.

Dyna-Glo 75K BTU Kerosene Forced Air Portable Heater

IM very tempted to try one of these but always afraid of the ventilation situation. How much do you have to vent it ? I have a garage door and a walk door , would I just crack open the walk door ?

Winter sucks, I hate cold weather, never liked it. Not even when I was a kid did I ever like the cold. Of course as a kid I played in the snow, and enjoyed a good snowball fight or igloo fortress, but cold weather has never been my friend.

It's fucking (pardon my language but it's not just "regular" cold out, it's "fucking" cold out) cold outside, as Illinois always is during winter months, and that means my non-heated garage is off-limits. I typically can warm it up to a tolerable level with a space heater, right now I have two running in there with the hopes of spending at least 30 seconds with some new tools. I'm curious to know how everyone gets by in the wintertime, and how you all heat your garage. Hopefully we can update the house to 200-amp service, which means I'll add heat to the garage. However, right now I'm pissed as a rattler in a box that I can't be in the garage.

What's the lowdown on tips or tricks on keeping the garage warm, what's a good heat source, etc.. Hit me with the knowledge my TIA peeps...

    Boy can I relate lol

  8. Chris just seen this now. Thoughts and prayers coming your way. Thats amazing what You went through and able to come out on top. You have an angle looking out for you up in the sky and certainly one on the ground beside you in your wife. God bless You all.

I'm pretty sure I've seen cases for both...the thing is that these tools are basically the old tools where you actually want to store in the case, especially the band saw. I'd put looking-for ads on a few forums and keep an eye on eBay. I don't know if the parts retailers will have cases.

Maybe @KnarlyCarl has a case available or maybe @SevenOddosFence can help.

Thanks Brian for thinking of me but I keep all my cases and always look to buy more.

Today I bought the worst kind of tools. Well, the worst kind to use anyway.

My digging tool selection is pretty dated and consists mostly of stuff older than me that was given to me years ago. Plus I found my hoe and the only round point shovel I had was laying over the hill all winter from one of Conductor Jr's excavation projects. I was gonna pick up a new mattock, but they were out of the Razorbacks, so I decided to wait.

Also, if you guys haven't tried it yet, the 3M Pro Grade Precision sandpaper is fantastic for hand or block applications. Probably the best I've ever used. Got a rubber backing that's far better than paper backed and it does last forever. It's all I'll buy from now on.

I use all razorback stuff on my fence crews - I love it and best thing is if anything breaks just bring it back no questions asked you get brand new one.
