That's (kind of) good to hear. Hopefully they will do the same for mine. I dropped mine off at a repair center, so I'm hoping is less likely I get a "normal wear and tear" spiel. My light too is nearly new and obviously barely. In my opinion, that makes it a clear manufacturer defect.When mine broke, within a week of buying it and only on my second time using it, eRepair said that the damage was "normal wear and tear" and "not covered" however, they replaced it with the metal clasps "for customer good will."
Why they couldn't just say "yeah, those plastic rings were crap, our bad" is anyone's guess. Go figure.-

I like this a lot. I wish more companies would make more "jobsite tough" items like this. I prefer buying something once and being done with it.
I do hope they come out with a few collapsible models for transportation and storage in your truck/van. -
Aren't you supposed to hang this light style from the ceiling?I have the area light at work , don’t like it. Light shining upwards sucks. I just received my tripod light and love it...bouncing light off a wall or ceiling is awesome..also for deck work it lights up the whole back of the house.. -
Are the telescoping collars metal or plastic? I've had issues with the plastic one breaking on the original Rocket light.This thing kicks butt. I don't care if it's a Milwaukee clone or not (I know the comments are coming...), it's an awesome light.
This room is about 22' at the peak, measures 7'w x 19'l. It'll easily light up a whole wall or the whole roof area if pointed straight up.

The PS22 is fantastic! An excellent example of a tool that knows exactly what it is and what it will be used for.I considered using a drill holster, but I don't always have a belt on and sometimes I just like to pick it up and go.
I've recently ordered the brushless Bosch ps22 hex driver (below). I do a lot of small screws, putting up blinds etc. It's probably perfect for the TV jobs [mention=51872]BMack37[/mention]. It's only 0.98Kg (2.1lbs) with battery! Super compact. There's a couple of nice photos in an old for sale post by [mention=2255]ChrisK[/mention] here:
I'd love to see Milwaukee bring something like this out in Gen 2 form. I never used to see the value of having a hex driver. It just seems so convenient now.

Milwaukee's ergonomics generally seem very poor. I'm not sure why, but they don't seem to focus on that at all. Their focus seems to be primarily on power (vs performance, which is different) and over-engineered durability.got the gen2 fuel today . ordered then non hammer set as i hoped the non hammer chuck will give more precision , and maybe also save some weight .
the drill (2503-20) weights 1.056Kg (yes metric!) bare tool.
1.238Kg with the small 2Ah battery .
i dont mind the weight , but the handle felt very strange at first . its fat at the bottom section , fatter then my m18 tools , even the big impact wrench which is very weird .i guess its due to their m12 battery design , which has unnecessary bulk built into it .
after some use i got over it and dont care about it much .
These new drills are a huge step in the right direction, however. The last M12 hammer drill was embarrassingly large. It's head was virtually identical to the M18 model.-

I appreciate that too. I also like that it is out from the tool body a bit, rather than right against it.I know this sounds wierd but the belt hooks on the gen 2 Milwaukees are the best Ive had on a drill and impact. Its placed near its center of gravity, so when im going up or down a ladder it doesn't swing all over the place. Its a low-key improvement that i really appreciate. -
PM sent.Long story short, I got a new service truck that didn't have keys for the boxes. Made the mistake of thinking I could leave my tools in overnight if I parked behind the house until I could get keys made. Local cops won't do their job. Have to buy new power tools again for the fourth time. Money is really tight. Need to replace them quickly. Open to any brand other than Milwaukee. Only looking for help finding deals or the best price on these tools. Don't have a lot of free time to shop around so if you guys remember seeing a sale or promo on them let me know.

I have one in for warranty service now. I wonder if they will replace the collars with metal ones. I hope so!
They did. The one I bought a few months ago has the upgraded collars.

They didn't follow the company motto:"NBHD". (For that matter, neither does the 18V box vacuum--definitely the cheapest plastic I've seen on a vacuum.) -
I agree this is a great kit. And case is absolute garbage, as stated.
You can buy the quick-change arbors separately and they should work with your existing hole saws. They are worth it. -
You better be dang sure that there's no stud or fire block there before committing to such a hole.
Wouldn’t that apply to any method of cutting? And what professional cuts without first scanning and knowing exactly what’s behind the wall?
Using the term technician in the video is enough to make me not buy it.
What is wrong with the term technician? It seems a common nomenclature for LV/datacomm electricians, for whom this tool is primarily designed.

i wonder how it would do on plaster?
I’ve not tried them on plaster, but I imagine it wouldn’t work well. Likely very slow and may dull the blade. I am exclusively commercial/industrial so plaster is very uncommon.
I really wish they would offer an alternative fitment instead of the proprietary DeWalt connection. It works, but I have to turn it sideways on my Bosch OMT. It will not work with some newer OMT models. -
These are fantastic! I use them all the time and they paid for themselves within the first week of ownership. There are a few more models now, so you can cut the exact hole needed for your preferred box or ring.

Yeah this. Don't try and hold carriage or especially plow bolts in their broach with a hand. I got lucky and it only went halfway through my finger when a sharp plow bolt jumped. A mistake I only made once.

The best M12 lights are definitely the lantern and the Rover lights. The spotlight is also excellent, but has a more specific purpose and isn’t versatile on the job site. The lantern has a USB port, which can be used to charge your phone (or your 2112 light!) from the M12 battery. It can also switch between 180 and 360 lighting.
The Rover is fantastic, especially due to its multiple mounting options. It is only bested by the M18 Rover. -
The 2112 is fantastic. I don’t really see it as a different platform since you charge it via USB and you definitely already use that “platform.”

Also, the build quality is better on the 3-head model. They upgraded the telescoping collars from plastic to metal and several other parts are superior quality. I’ve had to warranty the original model for a broken plastic collar, but I don’t anticipate the new metal ones having any issues.

I have both. They are both fantastic and you will be happy with either. However, the 3-head model is a significant upgrade. 1000 lumens brighter and adds the ability to power via AC extension cord (and also charge battery, if needed). The three heads are useful as they allow you to provide 360 lighting or light up a couple different spots. The footprints are identical, both collapsed for storage and expanded for use.

Bosch might make durable tools but the lack of new tools and expansion is staggering. I would tell someone to go Ridgid over Bosch unless they just needed very basic tools.
What are they seriously lacking? I’m an electrician and haven’t really been swayed by any other brand offerings, so I’m curious what I am missing because I see this sentiment expressed often.
There are a couple specialty tools I desire (M18 SDS-Max drill, DeWalt cordless cutout saw to name a couple), but you will have that with any brand and it hasn’t made me think about switching. I much prefer Bosch quality, design, and battery performance over what I experience from other brands. I keep all my stuff up to date and regularly check out what other brands have to offer.
I do have a few NAINA tools, but only a few. A couple vacuums and a couple 12V specialty tools.
