  1. I initially invested in the $200 Robi 16in mower. I would avoid this mower. It cut good but the handle was really loose causing it to be about two feet of the ground. The 20 in looks like it doesn't have that problem. If you have a small years you probably don't need the self propelled model. I have the ego 56v push mower that is not self propelled and it is easier to push than my old gas model that was still propelled. I don't think there is a noticeable power difference between the two brands so your might as well stick with what you are already invested in.

  2. For Some reason whenever companies bring there circular saws to the US they always take away dust collection port. I would be willing to pay the  (I assume) $150-200 dollars this will cost when or if it comes over if they keep the dust collection port.

Has anyone done the math on how large diameter bit you can use?  I assume that you can't use a big rail and stile set, but you wouldn't do that with a trim router anyway.  What sort of use would you use a trim router for that would require a larger bit or a slower speed?

I use 1/4 spiral bits, and the faster you spin them the less time they last. Lower speeds also give you a lot more control the over the router.

Went to a few HD's in to Detroit burbs and the sheet sanders where in stock, one had the router (should have snagged that).

Just a heads up, that router does not have speed control. This was a deal breaker for me. It also does not come with an edge guide like the ridgid.

They've updated the product page to say that the adapter isn't included now :(

On a separate note - how'd you get your hands on one?  HD.com doesn't even list the P440 and Ryobi still says "coming soon."

I was in The DC area and stopped at a random Home Depot on the way home. It was the only one on the shelf. It works well. I would recommend it if you are invested in the platform.

Went to go get one. but they were sold out, can confirm the pricing though. At least at the Hagerstown MD Store.

  7. It requires a propane tank, which means it must be used outside. For the heat it puts out I don't really see it being useful. I would recommend to just get a heated jacket. They can be used inside and outside.

  8. Go for the Bosch. Dust collection is terrible on the m18 saw. If you are not going to be moving it often the Bosch will work perfectly for you. All sliding miter saws will have some deflection the further you have to extend the arm. Best practice is to flip  the board half way through the cut, as long as you have a miter saw fence set up. Here is a video comparing the Bosch to the Dewalt saw on dust collection.

  9. Well I almost missed this little gem. In a small little square on their promotion page is an advert for a brushless belt sander. I have no need for this and don't really know what type of market there is for one. I don't imagine the battery life will be to good to replace a belt sander.

There isn't even a product page for it yet.

Ryobi also went on TIA  toolathon, and showed all there new end of the year hardware. I don't know why they only showed off the new lights and a sawzall. Why are they not highlighting these unique tools?

It seems like they are leading a new 18v platform that no one knows about (hot glue gun, palm router, and belt sander). I'm confused and excited. Hopefully Milwaukee follows suit, I want a 18v nailer that is light and powerful, and I think they are capable of pushing Dewalt and Makita to come out with better tools. I like where these tool platforms are taking wireless, and can't wait to see what the new year has in store for us.

So, anyone who hesitated on this has missed it.  I don't know what was going on, but the kit is back up to $349 again on the website.   Oh well, might have more luck in-store.

Still $199 at the Winchester, VA store

  11. This is a tool that Milwaukee should add to their M12 lineup

That would be awesome. TTI owns both companies, so it's definitely a possibility. Based on their quiet pulse impacts, they are now at least sharing resources and research

Eh well i really, really need a miter saw. I cannot cut straight lines on a circular for the life of me without a level or a fence. Corded ones are around 150 ish anyway well the sliding 7 1/4 ones at least so i figured i may as well get a cordless one because of its weight!  When they said this thing was light i didn't think it would be this light lol.

I agree, the best feature on that saw is how light it is. Also the e-brake is really fast, which saves a lot of time if you wait for the blade to stop before lifting the blade back up.

In case this doesn't come to our shores, you can always get a Surebonder gun that works with the Ryobi 18v batteries

Surebonder Pro2-60 Cordless High Temp Glue Gun Only- Use with Ryobi 18V Lithium-Ion Battery #P128 (battery kit sold separately)

I picked one up about a year ago and it works like a champ.  It's $43, so a bit more than the 20 you were hoping for, but you can get it right now.

Wish I would of known about this earlier. I bought the

Dewalt wired one from home depot in

August. Would of rather have just bought this one, Oh well. I'm hoping these will hit store shelves for black

Friday and be discounted in January. That's usually how i pick up most of my Ryobi tools.
