[20v framing nailer problems]

I purchased the DCN692B the other day. I was using it for the first time today. Ran about 10 or so clips of nails thru it. Now it won't shoot. In single fire mode it will start to spin up when you press the nose in. But it doesn't sound right like it never makes it to full speed. When I pull the trigger it will shoot but never drive full. About half way on a 3" nail. Then it locks up. Have to reset it with the stall reset lever. I take the battery out. Wait 10-15 seconds. Put it back in. Most the time it still will not reset. The led just flashes. 

 

Where should I look first? Or return it as defective?

I have access to a 3" head vibrator. I thought of using it and laying it against the outside of the forms

Both side exposed. With rebar in the forms it don't leave much room for a bigger head.

1/2" uprights every 2 foot. Crossed 8" up and 6" down

I just ordered this from Amazon. Anyone ever use one. I am filling 5 1/2" foundation walls 2' tall and needed a vibrator. Sounds like it will do the job as long as I have plenty of fully charged packs.

What do you all think?

How old and was it exposed to rain or extremely dusty conditions?

10 plus years old. And it a hammer drill. Always used in a dusty condution. As far as rain. Shouldn't have been.

I think replace the whole thing. Parts far and few between.

I have a DW514 hammer drill. I started having to spin the drill to get it to take off some times. I thought it was a bad brush. I took the drill apart and it looks as if the armature has a bad spot. See the picture.

Repair or replace?
