I was recently in sydney and visited bunnings and sydney tools. The prices for shit are insane... Esp Ryobi... jesus... 299$ for a ryobi combo kit that costs less than a hundred in US lol. Whats wierd is that Sydney tools had a bunch of open box stuff that was either on display or just tossed into a box with the same models and they were selling them as "New". How do you even get away with selling something thats dirty, handled, no box and no manual at full price?
Yeah Aussies are suckers TBH. We allow ourselves to be ripped.

The Australian models also have to be hardened to keep out a much greater variety of wildlife that want to crawl inside and ride it home to kill you in your sleep.
Hahaha ... I hope not because I'm no real man when it comes to critters !
Shotgun the lot of em I say...

Great review as always guys. You guys had no issues with the hammer "double tapping" due to recoil etc.? I've read/heard this gun referred to as paint grade only because the dents it leaves on trim could be deemed unacceptable. No issues with visibility with the large front ends?
I had a couple dble taps but I remeber noting at the time I was rushing. I think people need to recognize that someone's skill level may nor always be at a premium lol. And as far as the nose sight I think it's magic ! Had no issues. I was nailing primed pine and primed mdf skirting and had no marking issues. I would rather a softer rubber nose tip but I think that's a personal preference issue. The senco air gun i used has a wire safety so is worse. I reckon these guns are cheery ripe!![emoji106] (mike)

Earlier this month Newell Brands put elements of its tool business up for sale and within a week’s time came to terms with Stanley Black & Decker, which agreed to pay $1.95 billion for Lenox, Irwin, and Hilmor.
You can read more here: http://www.toolsofthetrade.net/power-tools/sb-d-acquires-lenox-irwin-and-hilmor_o?utm_source=newsletter&utm_content=Article&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=TOTT_101816 (1)&he=c0a4ce6db0a8b4a90061b5825c98c94315b985c3
Nooooooo. I think that's devastating for individuality in tools. Massive fan of Stanley Tools And Irwin,Lenox. But not under same banner...

well guys thanks for the suggestions, after thinking about this for awhile, I could not cut it straight in 2 pieces like I wanted however I decided to just cut it down to 35" high by 30" deep and just save the other good pieces for future projects.
BTW aside from cutting the outside with my M18 Fuel circular saw I cut each and every square face with my M18 multi-tool and as many cut as that was less than half a fully charged 5.0ah ......
Great job mate. That could have ended real messy.

Bosch deals going on til the end of the month I believe. The jig saw is a killer deal. I have it and love it. I missed out on the router last time at this price. I am torn between this one and the Triton. Ultimate goal is for it to be mounted on a lift for a table.

Wow I know the wages are different but we pay $400 for the radio in Australia.

Is it weird that when I read either of your posts I use an Australian accent? Makes it seem more authentic.[emoji6]

Haha I don't think we have accents but everyone else does ! [emoji6]

I don't believe a lot will change at all for Metabo. They sit fairly seperate and plan to continue to do so. But YES let's hope they don't stuff it up.! Also considering metabo is pushing so hard with new BEASTS of cordless tools and Hitachi isn't then i think we can see Metabo will be the premium of the two for the foreseeable future.

These drills were beasts at the time but are nothing close to what's available now. They well and truely batted above average for a long time. (Mike)

I think its a ripper but a working progress. Gps tracking will take a while for peer sharing to build and work but i think its more for bosses with lots of workers atm. Only my 2 cents worth. But i do think its a GREAT system and will build into something amazing.
