  1. I've used the Milwaukee 18v for urethane while doing auto glass, it was a huge time saver and made running beads effortless. During the colder months the urethane would be really hard to work with in a normal gun.

  2. I prefer the comfort and hardened tip of my Klein screw drivers. I also own a set of Wera screw drivers which are very comfortable and durable.
A while back I was having a discussion with my father who is retired and my brother in law who is a mechanic. My father was sayin "why don't you just buy craftman tools they're more affordable". My brother in law replied "yes they are but they are not designed for tradesman who uses those tools daily. High end tools are more comfortable and heavier duty". 2 years later and I completed understand what my brother in law was talking about.
Basically those acetate screw drivers are fine for a weekend project. I would not reach for one of the screw drivers if I had to use it for a long period of time at work.

Shit I put together a TV stand that took about an hour, and my hands hurt from just that amount of time with a craftsman acetate

  3. I also vote Makita. Pretty much any tool I have owned from them was durable and built well. Recently they had a deal going where if you bought 2 18v bare tools, you got 2 free 4.0ah 18v batteries. Not sure if it is still going on but not a bad deal if you planned on buying multiple tools right out the gate.

I actually used my nut drivers from this kit last night for the first time since I got it and was not happy to find I had to use one of the extensions to use it in my impact. I'm going to pickup some of their longer nut drivers that are actually usable to replace them.

I have this older Shockwave kit that comes with the longer nut drivers.

Also, getting the bits out of the newer kit is a huge pain.

I bought a very similar milwaukee set and that made no sense to me either. The socket adapter is also smooth shank. I returned it and got one from makita that is much better

  5. I have that Gearwrench set, I think it's great. The only thing I don't love is that it has four latches on the case, I always forget to unlatch the sides haha.

Lol well if that's the worst of it, I could live with it.

  6. Sunex are pretty nice impact sockets and have a good reputation.

I dunno what you drive or the extent of your use, but many trucks and SUV's have 21mm and 7/8 lugs. 19mm isn't going to cover all your potential lug nut applications.

I drive a Honda, and so does my GF. Well I do at least until I'm done with school and can get a big boy vehicle.

  7. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B005MVB9Y8/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1484099943&sr=8-2&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=sunex+3%2F8+master&dpPl=1&dpID=41mXFX-Lh0L&ref=plSrch

This is the Sunex equivalent kit. We all have sunex sockets at work and have yet to encounter problems. The gearwrench set is also CrM so they will be very similar. I guess it comes down to shipping costs.

This is perfect. Realistically I will only need up to 19MM for lug nuts, I can't think of anything I would be doing that will require a much more extensive set. Thanks for your help.

  8. I have used sunex and never had an issue with any of mine. I bought them around two years ago. If you dont need bigger 3/8 sockets here is a good set but it only goes to 19mm and 3/4.https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B005MVB9Y8/ref=pd_aw_sim_469_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=W9TF723SVF0A9KRMD9TT&dpPl=1&dpID=61UYEqtwYfL

I have these sets since they go all the way up to 22mm and one inch. Here is the metric set https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000LQDB86/ref=pd_aw_sbs_469_of_8?ie=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=5DEPXRF52KJFQHSCV60J Here is the standard set. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000ROE4FQ/ref=pd_aw_sim_469_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=6NCVVH77SWED7Z4ZJQM8&dpPl=1&dpID=615z2yZEr4L

Those are pretty decently priced, thanks for your help!

  9. I'm Brandon, I'm 23 and have been a YouTube subscriber for about a year now and I am just now making my way to the forum. I'm mostly in to woodworking which I grew up learning from my father, and just general home improvement/maintenance. Looking forward to getting to know some of you and any tips or tricks that you are willing to pass on.

    P.S. I recently became a father on December 20th! ???
