Great advice.

I am about ready to invest in a solid 12v drill and impact set. I am seeking the crew's opinion on which way I should go. I am not interested in getting a whole 12v line. I just want a drill and impact to use in tight spaces, overhead, and for everyday fastening use. I have been looking at the 1/4 inch hex drill and the impacts from Bosch, Hilti, and Milwaukee. Please let me know which you would get out of these and why. Also, if there are any others I should consider let me know. I have invested in Ridgid for my 18V line but I wanted to go more higher end for these since it will only be two tools. Thanks guys.

Congrats to everyone that won. Thanks to TIA for their generosity. I am hoping my luck will be better next time.

I actually have the TEK4 one they have which is great for very very small jobs. I just think they are missing the boat.

With Ryobi traditionally being a line for the homeowner or DIYer it seems like they would have a kick ass 12v line. Don't get me wrong, I think some of the Ryobi products are just as good as the big boys but with the price range they try and reach a 12v line just makes sense. Imagine a 12v drill and impact kit similar to Ridgid for about $79. I would absolutely buy one for everyday use.

I am going for a 20X20 shop. I am interested in doing various projects to get my 15 year old interested in woodworking. I have a Ridgid table saw, a cheaper miter saw I want to replace, and an assortment of cordless tools.
-
General use mostly. Trying different projects to get my 15 year old son interested in woodworking. Initially we will be building out a new workshop.
-
I have just invested in Ridgid because I am too cheap to go red. I am happy with my Ridgid. I will throw my vote to a fellow new user. I vote for IKEPETE.

Can't find it now. Must have been mistaken. I'm sure with Ryobi doing one it won't be long.
-
Ridgid has it on their website under new releases.

Nice SetBuilder.

I am about to buy all new clamps. Can someone give me advice on what to buy?
-
Can someone sell me on the Makita 12v system over others.
-
How does the Makita gear compare to every other 12V system out there. I am heavily invested in Ridgid for my 18V because it is slightly cheaper but I want a better tool for my 12v.

Any suggestions on the best (economy) miter and table saw blades?
-
Does anyone know the release date and price point on this?
-
If you had to stock a new shop with tools on a budget what tools would you get?

I know a guy that has a ton of pallets. Being the frugal person I am I have been wondering if I could build a workshop out of pallets. Any suggestions?
