I have all three of the 1+ Ryobi sanders, and their brushless belt sander, bought separately over the past two years. They are used almost daily and i have been very happy. That $100 deal is fantastic, i wish i had gotten that. Ryobi has a good warranty too.
I have over 20 Ryobi 1+ tools and at least 35 Milwaukee M18/M12 tools. Love them both. I have been tempted by Makita many times but haven't gone teal yet.
Take that $100 deal and try them out. You can return them if they don't suit you. I have a feeling you won't be taking them back.

Just watched it. I don't have a planer yet but I'm going to try it. Great instructions.Hey guys. Sorry I've been away for so long. No good excuses, just got away from me.
As many of you know, I'm now writing and creating videos for TIA. Sarah Listi (new writer) came up with an idea a little while back where between her and I, we are creating 5 simple projects for Mother's day. They are meant to be simple projects that can be done in a weekend. These are being rolled out one per week for 5 weeks.
This week, (week 2) I created a tutorial article and video on how to make a stripped cutting board. I love making these items, and I can get them done in a weekend, so it made perfect sense to add this to the Mother's day list.
Here is a link to the write up and to the video.
Let me know what you think.

Do you have a pic? I think I'd be interested in Ryobi and M12/M18Hi everyone,
I've been entertaining the idea of making a wall to battery adapter for cordless tools for a while now. The idea is that an adapter can plug into the tool and then connect to the wall outlet to replace a dead battery (until the battery is recharged).
I finally got around to it and have built a few of these for Ryobi and Dewalt tool systems. Right now, all the electronics are in a hollowed out battery case, so the adapter can fit normally into a drill/jigsaw/circular saw etc (no external power brick). They work really well, they seem to have the same power as normal battery operation (maybe a little more?). This got me thinking, that I could start selling these (~$40-$50) if there is interest out there, so any feedback would be appreciated. Feel free to ask questions.
Thanks,
Aaron

Yes, helps to clamp or bolt it on. Maybe see if there's a way to reinforce the stand it came with?

I've used a pair of 4.0's for two years with no issues whatsoever. Enegitech is the brand. They last as long as my six P108 batteries do. I do agree that when the 2 pack of Ryobi P108s go on sale for $99 (and as low as $79 on BF and late January) like they do right now every year, it's better to buy original

The Ryobi version I have has a filter on the intake hose. I'd assume the Milwaukee would too.
