[Miter saw, DWS or plain old DW]

Well, it looks like nobody knows the answer to this question, but don't feel too bad - neither does Dewalt. Finally got an e-mail response from them, and their answer was totally incomplete. They told me that there was a difference in a locking mechanism, which there is . . . but that hardly explains the six pound difference in weight between the two models. So, apparently no one, not even the people who make the machine, know what the difference is between the two models. Great.

I'm about to buy a new miter saw. I have the choice of a DW715 or a DWS715, both at the same price. What's the difference between the two? The salesmen at the store have no idea.
