[Dewalt DW735 Planer]

I am planning to purchase the DW735 planer.  After watching a youtube demo on building a workbench top, 6 2x4's were glued together and passed through the planer, which seemed to do a good job.  My concern is whether this is too much of a load (weight) for the DW735 to handle.  It took two guys to handle the feed and exit.

[milwaukee 2291 wall scanner]

Does anyone know why the Milwaukee 2291 scanner was discontinued?  Is Milwaukee working on a replacement?
