I bought a DW 7000 generator from Lowes. I never had the oppurtunity to use it. I started it up when i got it ran fine but i never ran anything off it . The purpose was for power outages. Now the power is out generator runs but puts out no voltage. I take it to repair center , they said probably needs to be flashed. The shop calls me says the stator is fried . How can it be fried i never used it. DeWalt says not a manufacturers defect. Then what is it. The repair is 2/3 the cost of new.
