[Identify this TOOL]

Howdy Tool peeps,

 

We found this beauty in our 1905 Dutch Colonial house, during renovations.

 

It’s foldable, metal, has rivets, the end piece can detach, looks like there’s a center piece for something else to attach.

 

Has no visible markings

 

Any ideas?

It’s a vintage hair crumpet/curler
