  1. Hi all,

I'm trying to DIY an AC Ridgid power adapter using a 24V 16A output lighting power supply with a Ridgid battery shell I have from a dead battery.  I'd just connect the 24V power supply outputs to the Ridgid 18V battery connectors.

Would this work?  Using 24V to drive 18V Ridgid power tools/shop vacs would be ok won't burn the tool?

This would be real handy when I need to run a power tool/cordless shop vac when my Ridgid battery is out.

    Thanks

  2. H all,

New to this forum.  I own a couple of Ridgid power tools.  I'm looking into ways to use the Ridgid tools in case batteries around me run out of juice.

I wonder if anyone used this Ridgid battery adapter before or currently owns this product: RD45363.

I wonder what's the max current output it can provide.  Would it work with any Ridgid power tools?

    Thanks.
