[Dewalt compound Pliers]

I didn’t buy them they was given to me

Hi all  I have the dewalt long nose compound pliers with the lock on but the lock doesn’t work and so there always sprung open and gets in the way is there any way of fixing the lock on them 

from what Iv read it’s  a common problem with them

but wondered if any 1 new of a way to fix the lock
