  1. ive considered the idea of the cart, but im a bathroom fitter, so 90% of the bathrooms i fit are up narrow staircases, so lugging the whole lot up a staircase isnt going to happen, aswell as taking it off and onto a transit, i think its aimed more at onsite work in open areas and shop floors, its a great product, just not suitable for my line of work unfortunately :( especially with the soft tool bags, if i hit a wall it wont damage it unlike the hard tough cases, the last straw of me using them onsite is when i took a chunk out of the wall paper on a corner

  2. haha, its a bit heavy, but it just saves that unwanted trip to the van when you have everything in one bag, imagine how heavy it was when it was in 2 of the dewalt tough cases!

that snapon bag looks great but i dont think it will have the capacity or width to take them all :(  this is a niche market!

  3. Hi, when it comes to tools, i dont do things by the half, ive been using the dewalt rolling toolbag to store all my cordless's in, but ive gone through about 5 of these big yellow holiday bags in 3 years, just with the material stretching out and sagging all over.  is there any alternative that anyone else uses out there? ive been searching online for hours for something better and stronger, but i cant find anything of the size i need!

this is what i fit in snug into this big yellow bag

    1 x combi driver

    2 x impact drivers

    1x circular saw

    1 x recip saw

    1 x angle grinder

    1 x jigsaw

    1x angle drill

    7 x batterys

    1 x charger

ive tried the dewalt xr boxes, and they are just cumbersome, too big and get in the way and do more damage when your lugging them in peoples houses.  if only they made a bag like a realy strong material! there must be other people with the same dilemma as me

Ive noticed Metabo and Panasonic do a similar bag, but they just look the same quality or basicly a carbon copy just stickerd up with another name on them, or am i wrong?

  4. ive had my sds drill for about 5 months now, and out of the lot of my cordless kit, the sds gets the least used, about once every fortnight it comes out and even then its light work.

ive just pulled it out today where just my luck, i need this trusty tool to save my life against alot of manual labour today..stick in a chisel attatchment, and the sds sounds like a bag of spanners, the hammer mode has gone into like trebble hammer and is shaking the whole drill, it totally sounds unhealthy, has anyone got a idea whats happend to my sds? im so annoyed as its never used for it to break like this, its useable if i hit the end of the chisel into the wall hard and the loud clanging stops for a bit, then back again.

  5. help....was using my combi driver and then next thing it went all flat, i pressed the state of charge button, and none of the leds work anymore, put the battery onto charge and it seems to be working ok, but the 3 leds dont work anymore, what do i do?

  6. well, ive finally replaced all my XRP to XR like for like, and its an amazing bit of kit, especially the angle grinder, its so light now.

has anybody got any info on whats the next step for the XR? for example, would they be expanding out like makita has with all its cordless range on the market?

  7. cheers guys, got my XR (20v max) kit today, didnt sleep a wink last night either! batterys are awesome and the grinder weighs nothing compared to xrp grinder. got my batterys on charge now too, got rid of that anoying foam in the tough cases aswell as it eats up loads of room. hopefully dewalt are going to bring out more 18v XR tools so i can add to it :D totally over the moon with it

  8. Does anyone know how many recharges you get out of the new XR battery packs?

and do you need to charge your new batterys for 24hours before use? lastly, can you recharge the battery's at any point of chargw? ive looked everywhere online and i cannot find an answer at all.

    thanks
