Duncan
Hi, I recently ordered a DCD795D2 online and it arrived yesterday. On the box, someone has blacked out the "D2" suffix with marker pen. They have also crossed out something that said "1.5A". Looking inside, the drill has the model number DCD795 on it (with no reference to "D2"). It was supplied with two 2Ah batteries, as I was expecting. Can anyone help me understand if there is any difference between the DCD795 and DCD795D2? Before I go back to the retailer to query this, I want to be armed with some information! Thanks, Duncan
Bremon
DCD795 is the drill mode number. The letter and number that follow mean bare tool or batteries. B - bare tool C# - compact batteries D# - 2.0 compacts L# - standard fat packs M# - 4.0 amp hour packs P# - 5.0 amp hour "premium" packs T# - FlexVolt packs in all these examples # is the number of batteries in the kit.
dwain
It appears that the box was originally for a kit that came with 1.5Ah batts, but you've got what you ordered, a DCD795 with 2 No 2Ah batteries. That's a serious kickass drill! Enjoy
Duncan
Thanks for both your replies. Phew! Looks like all is well. Sadly this drill is a present for someone else, but I'm dropping lots of hints to the wife, so you never know...
