Compressor Problem

Hi 👍

I'm a keen DIYer and love trying to repair/restore stuff with varying degrees of success.

I'm hoping someone can help with my latest project/problem.

Small portable electric compressor:

The elbow from the cylinder head has a aluminium pipe (10mm) that goes to the non-return check valve, this got damaged which I replaced with copper, so it's all working.

I noticed the elbow gets hot-shot when charging and I'm wondering if this is due to the narrowness of the pipe?

I'm thinking of enlarging the pipe to 15mm (copper) to see if it reduces the heat and fill the tank quicker but not sure if this will make the motor work harder and shorten its life?

Sorry if this is long and sloppy but am happy to try and clarify if asked👍👍

Over to you nice people 👏👏
