I should add that no shitty scheme or reduction in quality would surprise me coming from Apex/Danaher. I avoid them at all costs.
Danaher retained Matco as it's sole brand back during the formation of Apex, and even it's went to shit. I don't know if Matco sells a single tool anymore that you can't buy elsewhere for half the money. Even the Matco 88 ratchets can be had in some form from Armstrong which is owned by Apex now.
Matco sucks and has really went to shit IMO.
When was the last time you were on a matco truck? What Chinese gearwrench tools failed on you?

Very nice.

Perfect if you don't have any friends.

Welcome. Where are you in PA? I'm up here in Erie.

Yea, I'm tripping I probably won't buy one. There are tools I want more that another impact driver even if it is badass.

I guess they didn't know you were coming when they made the sign.

First one full price second one half price. No?

There's a guy on eBay selling Japanese made Makita brushless impactor sin different colors for $199 shipped without batteries. Like the Japanese made too. Not Chinese.
I will probably get one of those. It'd be a tough decision between the green one and the pink one.

Yea that was a shitty deal Sears pulled with the Craftsman professional cordless line. I think they only kept it around for like 2 years and just dumped it. Then they went back with the TTI based Craftsman C3 line. The pro line was from Chevron.
I have a craftsman pro 18v nicad cordless 1/2 impact that is 5 years old or so. I am pretty happy with it.

I drove a few screws in the customers squeaky floors today with it. I'm going to like it.

Are you asking why the carlyle are more expensive than sk? Carlyle tools are nice but they are over priced. You can get the sk set from tooltopia for $54

I can't see the price of the carlyle. What is the question?

Looks awesome! You should of buried the cable that goes around the back door.

Looks like a great idea, but it think you are going to have to hold the compressor with your foot as you pull out the hose. Good luck.
-
Did you get the reel?
I think it usually is on sale for $69.99.
I don't know about mounting it to your compressor. It will probably pull your compressor over or you'll be dragging it when your pulling out the hose. What kind of compressor is it?
-
They are a good value. I have had one for a couple years and it works good. I don't use it everyday though. Maybe once a week or less. The hose is shitty and is the weak point. I still use the original hose but it is getting cracky. I will put a flexzillA or similar on when it fails.
For the price I recommend it.

Yea they sound a bit dangerous. I don't do a lot of sawzallin' but they might be useful cutting in a confined area. You could cut from either way with either side. I will check them out next time I'm in a store.
new wrench set advice

If somebody has to ask what type of wrenches they should buy any brand will probably work fine for them. After awhile they will realize if the cheapest tool will or will not work for them. It is called experience and it comes from doing it.
Of course a tool truck will not be a good value for a shadetree'r.
I have a bunch of gearwrench that has never failed me and I have no idea where it was made. It's not my favorite brand but it is priced right.
I have a bunch of matco too. I like the brand but it also is not my favorite. But saying they suck and the brand went to shit is not at all valid unless you are a professional wrencher.
