Hi, I bought a DW705 Type 1 compound miter saw back around 1995, I think. Can't find any of the original paperwork, but the date code is 9405-F. The kerf plate came without a slot, so you had to cut one with the saw once the plate and blade were installed. I recently did a stupid thing that resulted in breaking the kerf plate. Since I use a thin kerf blade, the original slot was only 3/16", but this plate was discontinued, and the only replacements I can find have a 7/16" slot pre-cut in the plate. Does anyone know of a place that may have a surplus stock of the original slotless kerf plates. The part number for it is DW7055. Thanks in advance, Slappy
