Sorry it has took so long to answer DR99 but I have made 12" blade machete and 3/8" thick and 5 knifes and I hardened and tempered them too. An I made custom bent brackets for two hand rails. I built ithe forge to see how tools and weapons were made a long time along before there were mechines to do the work. An how much time is invested to make just one tool.

This is my home made forge. 6 stainless rings welded together then cut into four long peices. An welded to a 12"x12" stainless plate and welded corners in. then weled 7 3"rings toegther and weld it to the bottom for that dics brake. An i welded a pipe with the same dim. of the hair dryerin the side to finish off the top half. Then cut a cycle hole to match the inside dim. of a disc break. An welded cast iron to stainless steel. the bottom half is a disc brake welded to a 4" pipe with a slot cut out for the pipe with the hair dryer on it.

Yep I thought the samething I have been thinking about maybe doing one. I just wont to see what other people thought about them before i did one. I love mine. It come with what you wont in a tool set not what you need more of!
