The Milwaukee rep I talked to said they are coming out with a cordless miter saw soon, either a 10 or 12 inch blade, he wasn't 100% sure it was a 12.
Cordless 12" would be nice to see.

Good tip, I should have tried thatCant look up the video right now, but I have been using makitas lock nut. It is also designed to be thightened without any tool.
But to correctly thighten it, you would actually turn the whole grinding/cutting disc. This way, you would get more than enough thightening torque. At least 4-5 times that of just turning the ring.
Me myself havent experienced that it would untighten or loosen up in any way at least.

Good point. With the nut coming loose that may actually be a dangerous defect. The reason you can loosen the nut with a little ring instead of big wrench is the momentum of the grinding wheel against the brake will loosen the nut a bit. If the brake catches to much larger grinding wheels or wire wheels can come loose after its been run a couple times without tightening.

Cheers mate! It took a fair amount of body weight for it to stall it. I found that you can fell it coming on unlike the Makita I reviewed last year, that thing would just cut out unexpectedly. I doubt it would stall much under general use. Thanks James, that was a cool review. Shows we are all human lol. The Metabo is a really nice grinder, how easy was it to stall it? Was it something that you would likely during a typical grind? Thanks.

Hey guys
Thought I'd share my latest video on the new Metabo cordless grinder.
Been using it for the last few months and can confidently say it's another win by Metabo.
Excuse the user error half way through when I fail to tighten the locking nut on the disk... Rookie mistake
The feature to change blades without a tool has to be the best feature on this machine, it's awesome!

Nice review mate! The metal locking clips look a lot stronger than some of the others I have used in the past with plastic clips that tend break off in the back of the truck.

Damn, sorry guys!I like your write up on the Dewalt dcf899, it is a very capable tool. And yes if you are a current Dewalt 20v user then it would make sense to stick with the Dewalt brand and the same for Milwaukee. Milwaukee does have a 7/16 high torque impact, #2765-20 almost the same size and weight as the 2762 and 2763, but torque is lower at 300 ft lbs. and 500 ft lbs. in a two, speed switch. Tool is geared towards the installer with the quick bit exchange. The only deciding factor if getting into a new tool with no brand loyalty would be the warranty. Dewalt 3-years and Milwaukee 5-years.
Now with that all being said, I would like to see what the new makitas are offering, have seen the preliminary specs and they are close to the Milwaukee and Dewalt offerings. I see a nice Friday night tool fight brewing.
And james10million, we don't mention that guy or promote anything he does on this forum http://professional-power-tool-guide.com/power-tool-forum/index.php?/topic/7495-rule-update/.
Thanks.

Hey mate, great write up! I have not used either of the impact wrenches but you mentioned you wouldn't mind seeing a comparison between the two.
Here is one I stumbled upon on YouTube, although I don't think the TIA crew are a fan of this guy.

Out of these two my favourite is the Metabo, but the Makita is more powerful -
I have not tried the Dealt yet, but from all accounts sounds pretty good.
Good luck with you choice!

Only issue with that Jimbo is the weight is at the base and it acts like a swinging pendulum when u walk or run around the site, which could bang up the thighs a bit.
I know mine with the head at the top is bad enough when the handle cracks me in the legs from time to time.
