  1. 2 Years and still waiting for the 60v to 120v Table Saw adapter to come out.  In my email this morning I was surprised to see the Metabo(Hitachi) HPT 36v to 120v adapter available with a ton of new tools.  What's taking so long Dewalt?

  2. Just picked up the DC710 this past weekend.  Opened it up and put the battery pack on and immediately noticed the chuck visibily wobbling when running on max RPMS.   Doesn't seem to feel smooth.  Took drill back to Lowes and the second one had the same issue.  Question here is the chuck supposed to wobble like this?

I am in the market for a 12" sliding compound miter saw. I have looked at the Milwaukee, DeWalt (DWS780) and the Bosch Glide saws.

Anyone of you have first hand experience with any of them?

I have the Bosch GCM12SD 12" miter.  Great saw but heavy.  Plan on getting the Bosch miter stand T4B to transport it because it is backbreaking and very awkward to carry.   I recently purchased the Dewalt 20v max cordless miter and love the stainless steel miter detents.  The bosch actually had plastic detents which you wouldn't expect maybe to cut down on the weight.  I believe the Bosch is around 68lbs

  4. I got the saw when it first came out, love everything about it except its weight.  It is heavy and awkward to move if you don't have it mounted to the Bosch T4B stand.  Keep in mind that stand is another 299 you will have to shell out.

I was at my local HD today and a tool rep was in there and we have bumped into each other from time to time. We started talking today and I asked about the Ridgid 10" Sliding miter saw and what happened with it and he said there are coming out with a new 10" Slider a new 12" slider and a 7.5" cordless 18V Slider. I reallly look forward to the cordless 7.5" slider.

    Any idea of timing??
