I watched Dan's video on the 7 1/4 miter saw when he was in Charlotte at the Dewalt event and the product manager Jeff said no comment when Dan asked him if a 10 inch 20v saw was coming! Do you guys think there is any truth to this?

Jason, do you notice any difference in suction when it is running on battery? Or is it the same as when you have it plugged into and outlet??

I have the original DCF885 brushed 20v impact and love using it. Small powerful and light. I use 2.0 XR amp hour batteries and it work great for my needs.. primarily furniture builds and home renovation work.

I have the drill and impact kit. Batteries are snug on the impact dcf885 but are loose on the dcd780

Nice impact!

I used the saw today for the first time. Suprisingly powerful and very smooth. Very happy with my purchase!

I have the Bosch GCM12SD miter slide saw and it is a beast to move at 65lbs which is why I bought the Dewalt. The Dewalt 20v is less than half the weight! First impression is the quality and lock of the Dewalt miter detents, locks in solid with absoutely no movement. The Bosch has plastic detents which still makes me wonder considering it is a premium saw and doesn't feel as secure as the Dewalt.

I picked up the 20v miter saw at Home Depot and it came with 2 free 3ah batteries. So $399 gets you the saw and 3 batteries total. Great deal! Note the promotion is on through the December 31st of this month

I ended up exchanging the kit for another and it works great. Little to no movement of the battery in each tool. Thanks for the feedback guys.

Going to take it back and exchange it for another.

I can relate. I just bought the brushless DCK281D2 combo kit and have the same issue on the drill. Swaped the batteries around and found that one out of the 3 batteries fit looser on the drill then the other two and I could feel it moving around whenever I moved the drill in different positions. Very annoying. The problem area is right were the little latch in the middle of the battery catches the lip on the bottom of the drill. I cut little pieces of electrical tape and placed them at various places on the battery and tried the fit. I ended up with tape on the lip under the drill and that tightened the battery right up. The drill has a little more slop than the impact driver so the problem is with both the drill and that one battery. I'm betting there's quit a few like this. Do both batteries move around about the same in the drill?
Yeah both batteries are loose in the drill.

Dewalt has a 20v max impact and drill/driver on sale for $159 at lowes. I would go with that.

I bought the Dewalt 20v combo kit from lowes today with the DCF885 and the DCD780. The kit is great, tools are real light weight but one issue, both batteries are loose and move around when I use the DCD780 drill but fit real snug in the the impact with no movement? Do you guys have any idea? Did I get a bad kit?
