Two summers ago, I purchased a 20v trimmer, last summer it died.
I'm pretty sure I pushed it too hard...I live on an acre and would swap between 2 5ah and 2 3ah batts. Batts would run dead while at the same time getting hot. Eventually just killed the motor, probably just pushed it too hard.
NOW, my conundrum...
Do I buy another DeWalt 20v trimmer (40v is off the table cuz I own 20v batts) OR do I pull the trigger on the new Milwaukee trimmer?
If I did the DeWalt again, I'd pace myself and not be so hard on it, but from what little I've seen online, it would appear as if the Milwaukee could stand the abuse.
The DeWalt comes with a 5ah for $180, the Milwaukee is $300 and comes with a 9ah.
Thoughts?
Any otger string trimmer recommendations?
Thanks in advance.

Dewalt trimmer crapped out on me.
Local Lowe's only carrying 40v line of outdoors.
Anyone know anything?

And there's the converter thingy so you can rock M18 batts in 'em...

DCE100B It's on Home Depots site listed for $99.
If memory serves, full-size 20V blower is $99 bare.

Next week its going to be a sales event!! I just like the fact that they recommend disassembling your tools to clean them!!
Powertools are essentially battery-operated handguns.

Yes please.

So, how long 'til these start showing-up at Lowe's?!
