    Update, the "roller" part is metal, I had thought it was stone cause it was so grainy and brittle. Could scrape it and it would "dust off" some grainy bits. Put magnet over the dust and it all stuck..... So strange

    Welcome! I find some really old interesting things around here. I found 2 old house sites that are now just level ground

    I found this while detecting a site where an old house used to stand until the late '50s early '60s. I have no idea on what it is. I believe it's an old school knife sharpener. Has a small pulley on the side. Any help or brainstorming would be great!
