I agree with the battery guess as well...
But wow you have some balls regardless if you really stopped the blade between your thumb and finger...
-
I think I read somewhere the first one key tools (besides the crimper) will come out 2016 earlyish.
-
The dewalt is the winner out of those. It's really hard to watch the blade on the ridgid.

How much space do you have? The glide is good for limited space because you can put it right against the wall.

I'm jealous Renner!!

Did the LUMU break the screw?

Today's the day!

Generous offer! If I had any of the 18v left I would take you up on that!!

Uh oh.. Hope it's not contagious!

I really like the milwaukee blades with the case.
-
Over here on the east coast it's mostly sidewinders. I love my dewalt. It's definiteky tough as its been dropped a few times and still works perfectly.
-
I love dewalt but when it comes to recip cordless, I have to say milwaukee is the best. More power and a lot less vibration...
Not sure that's the answer you wanted to hear... =\

What are you doing with the tools? Or just an impulse buy?
-
Nice collection Jason. Also.. Did you change your username?

These are really limited by the heads Milwaukee markets. From the looks of the demos with a normal bolt cutter style head on these could do more than a set of 48" bolt cutters. Seems like a marketing flop not to release this with other head options that would make it more versatile and useful to more people.
That would be an expensive pair of bolt cutters....
With the price of this tool, I think it makes sense to market it towards electric companies.

I know... I want one and don't even have any Makita batteries.

Holy cow! That's a cool hook but it was 40 bucks??

Just checked the milwaukees.. the old brushed model is around 2750rpm. The new brushless non fuel is about 2800. The current fuel is 2900 and the 2nd Gen fuel not yet released is 3000
not a huge difference in speed in my opinion. The torque is around 1500,1550,1600,1800 respectively. Maybe that 1800 in lbs makes a big difference but I would say that even 1500 is plenty of torque for 99% of what you will be using it for.
You might do just fine still using what you have. If your itching to upgrade and see the biggest difference possible I would wait for the 2nd Gen fuel.
There's a brushless non fuel? I thought fuel was their name for brushless.

Pretty decent deal! I've got so many cheap to medium clamps though.. For storage sake, I've gotten to where I only pick up cheap parallel clamps nowadays.

Thanks man. Maybe i should do a quick video of my shed one day, explaining what/why I own and stuff. Would be fun.
I'd be interested.

Thanks fletcher!

There's an M18 planer coming out fall 2015. Seems like the winner for you!

I like the idea! Reviews say it's a bit small though..

Since it's steel id recommend electrolysis. Works really well and you feel like you just completed a science project.
