everything's good over here bro just take it day by day man and I fully understand man technology hasn't made anything easier in the car auto life at all we've probably spent over an extra 3grand updating our snap on diagnostic machine within the past few years buying new chips and programs for everything new out there..... Good luck my Friend and and if you need anything were all here for ya man!

thanks Big Mike, it might be weird to some people but knowing a community of guys like the TIA crew are there and are willing to help with advice and opinions helps a lot, its not only the technology I'm out of touch with its the fact that I'm in a foreign country trying to find work as well, the automotive trade in Canada is a lot different to the UK! But on the up side I have an interview with a company called United Rentals on Thursday for a technician job, they rent construction equipment so it'll be a bit less complicated than cars...lol

How has it been going Bear? You haven't been on much.

Hi Nicholas, no I haven't been getting on as much as I'd like to, been looking for work and trying to get some stuff done around the house! Almost time to get my MINI out of storage as well so haven't had as much free time as I'd like to...lol

Thankyou for the kind comments. Yo, you like them mini coupers, as do I! I loved the souped up ones you see in the movie The Italian Job, that was the movie that made me love them little mini coupers. Watch them fly in and out of traffic like the wind. hehe

I do love them mate but the Classic Mini's are a little too small for me now but I want to get hold of one to restore, my next one of the BMW owned ones will be a John Cooper Works I think, or a Countryman S with 4WD for the shitty winters up here!

  5. 2007 MINI Cooper S, no mods yet but got plans for JCW exhaust and maybe a Brembo brake upgrade. I'm 6'2" and 350lbs and it always makes people laugh when I say I drive a MINI, but its comfortable and as much as its a cliche it drives like a go-kart and I drive round with a permanent cheesy grin on my ugly mug!

  6. Yes it is. I had been thinking about getting a temp gun and this one showed up. I have had it for two or three weeks and used it quite a bit. Well worth the money for me. You can't beat toolnut's free shipping over 40 bucks either.

yeah kruton i agree ToolNuts free shipping is great, I bought suff when i lived in the US but now I'm in Canada I can't take advantage of their great deals...

  7. Welcome to the forum Bearuk1!! Awesome Snap-On tool box!! Those TIA stickers really set it off. Is that allen wrench holder made by Snap-On?

yes Mondo they are Snap-on allen wrench holders...thanks for the praise on the box mate, i appreciate it.

  8. Yo Bear!!! How u doing bro how's the new job goin?

Hey Mike...not good on the job front...bit of back story, i've been out of the retail motor trade for over 12 years, I left the UK in 2003 to work for the US Military in Hinesville, GA at Ft Stewart. Worked on military equipment for 7 years and then left to go to Afghanistan for 3 years, again working for the US Military. The retail world is a whole different animal to what I was doing for the Army, you weren't under as strict time frames and you just got on with the work that was needed. To cut a long story short I was doing ok on cars but was not quick enough or knowledgeable enough on trucks and trucks were 90% of the guys business so he let me go 2 weeks ago. I'm looking other avenues, either working for myself or something off the tools, I was a supervisor for 2 years in Afghanistan and enjoyed the responsibility so I'm hoping to find something similar in the retail trade. Thanks for checking in with me Mike, I appreciate it.

  9. Nice, looks like you go by the "5S" rules in tool organization. Nice box

Cheers, I do try to stick to the 5S rules as much as I can but it's hard to do in a retail shop where every minute is precious. I would love to have a set of foam tool control for the drawers like they do in the aircraft industry but as much as they keep your stuff organized they don't make the most efficient use of space and thats my biggest challenge, as big as the box is it's full and it's hard to find places for new stuff without everything descending into chaos...lol

  10. Congrats on the job, congrats on the shinny snapon toolbox, and congrats for liking turboed mini coopers haha :D

Thanks bro, love my Mini's, I'd love a classic but my fat ass can't get in one now...next one I get is gonna be the right colour though, British Racing Green with a white roof and hopefully a John Cooper, gotta love more bhp!!...lol
