This is a awesome find I just came across. Graco just came out with a cordless paint sprayer that uses Dewalt 20v batteries. I have the corded version and it works great. I will definitely be buying one of these.

Has anyone heard of potential new vacuums coming from Dewalt, in either 20v or Flexvolt? I have the current 20v vacuum and I like the design of it but it's suction power is pretty mediocre.

I hope Bosch will be quicker to get out new tools to take advantage of this new battery tech. That's the one thing holding them back is their lack of variety of cordless tools. It probably has a lot to do with Bosch being a huge company and the tools section only being one little part of it.

I find that I have more need to cut 12" boards than I do 4x4's. I really like the DCS361 and I think its perfect for its intention, which is to be a small miter saw for trim work and some 2x4"s. If it cut 2x12"s it would be more perfect for my uses. I have a full size saw but I always like the smallest tool possible for the work needed. The flex volt saw is awesome but its overkill for most of my needs. I hope they come out with a single battery 10" saw like the Milwaukee. The Milwaukee is great but it was so messy that I sold it. I expected some mess but they barely even considered dust collection.

I believe its normal for it to hit on the first cuts. I have the same piece on my flex volt miter saw and was worried also. I have heard that it is so they can tell of the saw has been used in the event of returns.

Cool, thanks for the advice. I just wanted to make sure that it was normal. I did spray it with teflon dry lube and there was no change. I might try loosening it because its a little stiff anyways.

Here a clip of the sound. It just sounds like the spring is tensioned too much, but like I said it wasn't there 2 weeks ago. What do you guys think, is it concerning? There is absolutely no noise on my Dewalt or Bosch miter saw so it seems odd to me.

Does anyone else have a squeak from the spring when lowering the saw head? When I bought it, it was silent, as well as the ones in the store. Now when I lower it theres a loud squeak caused by the sides of the springs rubbing against each other. I sprayed it with dry lubricant and there was no change. The sound itself is not a big deal but it worries me for longevity of the spring. I took it to the service center and they told me that was just the way it was. I told them that my dewalt and bosch miter saws that are much older don't squeak when lowering and they just looked at me and said "well I don't know what to tell you", thats just the way it is. Being new to the Milwaukee line I have to say I'm already not impressed with the service center. I wanted them to at least achknowledge that it doesn't sound right.

Just FYI, MAC tools use Dewalt Batteries. Mac has both 12v and 18v cordless for auto repair needs. Not a lot of tools but various impact wrenches and right angle ratchets and drills.

I never thought dust collection was that important, then I started using Festools. Now I am more aware of how much dust sprays everywhere and is inhaled while woodworking with other tools. Other tools definitely do the same or better job in regards to performance at a lower price but at the expense of mess and potentially health. I wish more big companies would put more thought into the dust collection aspect. I bought the Milwaukee m18 Miter saw and while I do like it, it has to be used outside. It is apparent that they had a "whatever" attitude when designing the dust collection aspect of it.

I have bought european versions of tools before through "toolstop.com". I bought the Metabo cordless Miter saw before it was offered in North America and they delivered it from Scotland to California in 4 days. The only downside with certain tools form europe is some pieces can be sized different. The european miter saws are 30mm arbors instead of 5/8" which makes blades not as easy to buy. I am really hoping that the DCS778 10" miter saw comes over here. I have the 12" flex volt and while its awesome, I would sell it to purchase a 10" that only takes 1 battery to run.

Any chance we are going to see that 10" miter saw over here in North America (DCS778T2)? I would much rather have a 10" saw that only took one battery than the 12" if I had the choice.

If you don't need the crosscut capacity then non sliding would be great. The 12" sliders are big and a little cumbersome to move.

$1000 in free tools is worth the wait. I was thinking just the 10% discount. I picked up the flex volt sliding miter saw at HD. You won't be disappointed and its worth the wait.

Cancel your orders and buy them at Home Depot. The small discount is not worth waiting IMHO. The Home Depots in my area in Socal seem to be pretty well stocked up with Flexvolt.

haha just messing with you man. Your right about wanting some more brushless 20v like the reciprocating saw. They might come out later. Those wouldn't be as groundbreaking and might just be a silent release. I plan to just keep my 20v compact recipe saw and get the 60v for when real power is needed. No tool company wants to lose money so I think they made the 40v and a engineer said " I have a better idea" and the 60v was born. It seems to me to be the best of both worlds but we will see when the actual hands on reviews come. No tool brand will be perfect and you just have to go with the one that has as many of the tools that you need.

Did anyone else see them take the 4 battery power unit and run a blender? That is going to be a pretty sweet camping accessory. Real coffee in the morning, blended drinks, ect. seeing how it is also a charger I wonder if you could rig a solar panel setup to keep it topped off?

Watching tools in action on periscope, I believe one of their reps was discussing this. I believe there was some sort of plastic cap that went onto the top of the battery that somehow allowed it to not have to be held under that regulation. I only half paid attention because It didn't seem important to myself, but now that you asked it vaguely rings a bell.

I don't know the prices on everything but the 12" sliding miter saw is supposedly going to be $799 with 2 batteries and the cord adapter. That actually seems like a fair price to get a hybrid dws780. I mean I can go into the forest and build a log cabin off the grid, Im sure I'll never do that but now I have the option. haha

Yes it is worth it. The best radio in the market in my opinion. The only downside Is that the new Flexvolt batteries won't fit so you'd have to use regular 20v only batteries.
