Looking to get a wet saw. Not interested in a table top kind. Definitely something with the sliding tray. Is something like the 8” ridgid for $450. Good enough or should I try to save up and go for something like the dewalt 24000s. At $850. I’m not doing it every day but tile is part of most jobs at work. Any thoughts

Good Day Crew!
I want to put out a feeler, if anyone would be interested in buying the DeWalt DCN660 w/ a 5.0 Battery and Charger that I received has member of the month here at TIA. I have only ran about 100 nails through it, to test it out.
I really hate that I may have to part with this, however, my go-fund-me campaign is not working.
Like they say, when it rains, it pours, has I also had to buy 2 "used" front tires for the family truckster, and I don't think it will last much longer. It has over 200,000 miles on it.
I can't wait until 2016 is over, this has been the worst year for me and my family. I always keep my head up, and look to the positive vibes.

That's one hell of a nailer. Wish I could afford one. Hope you get to keep it

Good Day Crew!
Has most of you will remember, the wife's mother passed away a few months ago. Well, I just received news from back home, the my fathers health took a turn for the worse. I need to scrape together some cash, so I make the journey back home, and hopefully see him before he passes away. I have not been back in about 8 years. It's been a rough year, has I also lost an uncle (on my fathers side), and a sister-in-law (brothers wife).

So sorry to hear of your loss wigwag.

Thanks everyone for the quick responses. It still runs good and I use it almost everyday. How much would something like this cost?
Not nearly as much as it has made for you and by the sounds of it will continue making u

I have had my Colorado(canyon cousin) for about 6 yrs now. It has served me pretty well, as far as MPG and maintenance go.
I have the extended cab and there has never been enough room for me. My passenger seat sits in our crawlspace, this is so my 6 yr old can fit with his seat.
Pretty good truck overall, but I'm in the market for bigger.
Thanks for the advice about that

That crazy there's no way I'm modifying the available blades to fit the unit. That jig saw would be going straight back to depot. As the Home Depot brand Ryobi should 1000% be compatible with the blades Home Depot sells. That is a huge let down from ryobi's design and research teams

Mike, I ordered the new recip and battery kit. It is supposedly shipping 08-23-16. I'm not sure if that helps but that is all I know.
How much was the kit

I've never done that but I can pictures it the heat that is produced from the friction created from no pilot hole must be so intense but also the strain on the tool has to get really hot also. I completely burnt out the brake on my makita impact gun installing lags when I was still installing commercial skylights

Shaft squeezed in the hole. That's what she said

I've noticed that regardless of size the density of the material you are screwing into and the pilot hole are the biggest factor as long as you can keep the friction down between screw and material an impact driver will work great just make sure you pilot hole is only as big as the shaft that way the threads get a deep enough bite but without the shaft squeezed into the hole.

Makita do make Framing Nailers
Sorry I meant to say cordless. I know they make pneumatic nailers I want to look into a few of them

I'm not sure of something that makita makes that others don't but I certainly wish they made a good Brad nailer and that they made finish and framing nailers at all

Your 100% right individually they aren't just for someone that needs to try to get a bunch of tools in a short period of time. I'm already in the makita line so it's not the end of the world and I'm now at a one at a time point luckily. I just recently also bought into the dewalt line. If I go for a flex volt tool it will probably be the resip saw I think they released with it since the makita is on its way out

It sounds like dewalt is going to be entering the Milwaukee price range which really sucks
