  1. I was meaning driving screws, but I am impatient too so if it is that slow I will never use it. I use my impact on speed 2, speed 1 is way too slow for me. As fast as drilling, my Kreg bit has a 1/4 qc end on it. I do have a smooth shank bit as well, they make both

don't think fast enough for that

Fast enough to drive a pocket screw? I use my M18 or M12 fuel drill for drilling the holes, I use either my M18 or M12 fuel impacts or the m12 drill to drive the screws normally. I feel like this could work in tighter spots. Although I do have the right angle drill now too. Too many tools to choose from!

Thanks buddy!  I figure this thread will hopefully inspire someone else to tackle their own garage clean up project.  Mine had to be a great example of how bad one could get.  The goal now is to have the double bay clear by the weekend and the single side done by Sunday night.  I have plans tomorrow night so Friday night after my auction I need to get hustling!

  4. So you do realize that if a woman uses that elevator, she will be in the shaft. And that guy seems to be enjoying the shaft a little too much. Getting excited over an elevator is the equivalent to watching paint dry. And if you get excited over watching paint dry, then you haven't lived a life yet, or maybe you have lived a life, but the life you lived was so raw and brutal, that life takith away and left you a mindless zombie. In which case, welcome to the apocalypse

Or you are a painter and you are in a hurry to apply a second coat...

  5. Well Dano, slow wins the prize. I've had my renovation topic going for almost two years

and have been making regular updates throughout and like most people with a shop be it mechanical or woodworking like mine, space is always an issue but using the French cleat system is a great way to make manageable room and organization for your shop. I love watching these posts, the best ones on the forum arguably (in my head) and I get ideas just from looking over these tours. Also I'm curios, is that a jointer I see?

You are right, slow works better. Every other time I have cleaned my garage the back wall and the corners have been a place to pack stuff. This time I am trying to add organization, french cleats, shelves, etc as I clean so hopefully it stays organized longer. That is a Craftsman 6" jointer you see, part of the tools I inherited. My table saw, bandsaw and the jointer are all Craftsman. The drill press is a Champion and one of the 2 compressors he gave me is a Craftsman also. All old school tools that work, except the compressor feels seized up.
