I bought a dewalt portable table saw back in 2001 or so. I was happy with it and used it for two home renovations. Two years ago I bought a Jet 3 HP cabinet saw. I thought I would keep the dewalt as well, but after using the Jet. I put the dewalt on craigslist. There is just no comparison between a job site saw and a real cabinet saw with a good fence.
At work we have all saw about 8 saw stops all set up with 8ft in-feed and out-feed tables. So its a pleasure to to just throw boards up on the tables and start cutting.
What type of wood would you be cutting the most? Why not go with a track saw?

Here are the pics(I thought I had better pics:
Main board, notice the fit isn't very good. This board had to be replaced because the bluetooth wasn't working:
Cheap components, this had to be replaced because the battery wouldn't charge.
It mostly tore down:
No picture of the power supply but it's in the top right of this photo covered by a black piece of plastic. It had a couple of bodges on it but it worked.
This is the replacement battery(I believe), in talking to their service department this was a common failure. This unit needed this replaced as well.

I've worked on one of these and three of the five major parts had to be replaced AND the power switch didn't work. BUY THE EXTENDED WARRANTY!!!
Thanks for the heads up

I'm thinking about this for a shop / job site radio. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B016V8XF74/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=mymonsteraudio-20&camp=1789&creative=9325&linkCode=as2&creativeASIN=B016V8XF74&linkId=070fbbf94c2ec37dafee54d54de996c8
The battery has 100hrs of life, so does it really have to run off my cordless batteries? I have all Milwaukee and their 40 watt radio is 200.00 This is 80 watts for the same price.

I'd be in for an M18 trim router, were such a beast to exist.
I'd buy an M18 trim router in a heart beat. I'm sure this has been discussed before, but has anyone tried adapting a M18 battery onto the Ridgid 18v router?

Has anyone tried the square bearing router bits for laminate work? http://woodworker.com/34-diameter-14-shank-euro-trimmer-mssu-102-845.asp
I definitely would like to order one to see how they work.

I have a bunch of M18 tools and I'm looking to add a sawzall and grinder to the mix. I have a one key 1/4 impact driver and to be honest I never play with the app, so the features may be lost on me.
Home depot has a Fuel sawzall and grinder plus 2 5amp batteries for 418.00. I'm thinking about getting it, But will prices drop once once the one key stuff comes out in 2 weeks?
Thoughts?
Thanks
What tools did you buy today?
