What i have found some info on net, BL4050F battery will be probably 20 mm longer and 19 mm taller than BL4040. Maybe 20cell 18650 design?

With these bigger grinders is XGT line becoming interesting for me. What surprises me little is that 230mm grinders have one battery only. I was expecting two battery setup. In manual there is a new BL4050F battery recommended for it. Has anyone info on this battery? Bigger 5Ah capacity is obvious, but maybe bigger cells for higher power output? What does "F" stand for?
150mm 6" - GA033G/GA034G/GA035G/GA036G
180mm 7" - GA037G (with AWS)
230mm 9" - GA038G (probably with AWS)

The only one reason I can imagine is that DUR369 motor is considerably heavier and bigger than DUR368 one (1kW output vs. 0.55kW). String trimmer with such a motor mounted at the bottom would be not balanced well i think.

9700 RPM is speed of DUX60 motor itself. Attachments have gears inside to lower this speed. For example, EM404MP trimmer attachment has 13:21 gear ratio. 9700*(13/21)=6000 RPM

Wau, a very nice find, thank you! Finally Makita lightning products that interest me. Could have higher lumen output but I like both of them very much.

I understand you, have same thinking. I have die grinder, plate joiner and nibbler with old brushed body. I would not buy this new cut out tool, but definitely I will buy die grinder a and plate joiner with new BL technology. Perhaps Makita will not let us waiting too long (as with OMT tool 😃).

New cut out tool spotted, slim body, BL motor, AWS, dual LED light. Hope there will be BL die grinder with this body...

I really like cordless Makita tools, I have 25 or 30 of them, but Makita is annoying me with two things:
1) reluctance to make bigger 18V batteries
2) inability to introduce new BL OMT
I believe both two problems will be solved in near future. 😃 And OMT will be, based on the long working on it, by far the best OMT on the world 😁

IMHO, looking at connection strips 20/22, it's 16s2p configuration. 57.6V or 64Vmax.

After four days I noticed that there is 18V version of inflator in 2020 catalogue - DMP180. Very nice.

Definitely i like it, perhaps it is going to be produced. But i would be curious about runtime. Makita, we need 9Ah batteries!

guide rail compatible base..

Yesterday I unpacked my Christmas gift 😀 and here it is, Makita DLS211 (XSL08 in USA):
Saw was *nearly* precisely adjusted from factory, but it could be better, so I spent two hours with adjusting. First I realized that rails are slightly misaligned. After three trial and error atempts and 10 mins it was OK. Next was bevel angle, 0.2° off, moment to fix. Mitre was nearly perfect, but 5cut methods showed some error. I spend long 90 mins finding exact square angle, until 5cut method showed zero error. Now I think saw is very accurate.
What i like: accuracy (now after tweaking), power, runtime, smoothness of every movement. Bundled 60teeth Efficut Makita blade is very nice, I'm impressed. Non-sliding fences are OK for me. Laser is what I don't like too much. And yes, she is heavy! 😃 I have to buy wheeled saw stand...
Overall I'm very satisfied.

But XGT as of this moment is actually a downgrade for high-power tools for the time being.
Exactly. Increased power but decreased runtime. I'm really curios when Makita will introduce first X2 XGT tool 😀 Makita doesn't like big batteries.

Nice, but where are these LXT/X2 tools:
- BL OMT
- BL orbital sander
- table saw
- air compressor
- heat gun
- and especially new 2020 model impact driver 😁
What I like and will probably buy:
- 1.6gallon backpack vacuum
- BL planer
- top handle X2 chain saw
- blower/vacuum/mulcher combo
First tool compatible with both XGT and LXT?

Here is nice example of OPE application of this backpack, lawn mower MLM001CZ. This mower isn't using battery packs at all, but backpack clamped on top.
